Audio is great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little on the fence if I would like these. They are a little larger than I like but i really like using them. I waited to write the recipe until I went on vacation and could really use the. The built in microphone am speakers worked really well and I didn’t have to have headphones in all the time. I also like the ability to just ask meta questions and get answers, they were mostly right. The camera takes decent pic and video. The glasses look like normal sunglasses.

Elevates my running experience
These are the first smart performance sunglasses I’ve used. The white frame paired with Prizm Black lenses looks clean and athletic. The built-in AI features and open-ear audio deliver real-time feedback and music. This syncs seamlessly with my Garmin and I like the real time stats it provides without needing to look at my watch. The battery life is great. These are comfortable, even over long runs (includes three nose grips for customized fit) and they stay in place so I don't have to worry about them falling off. Using the camera/video for capture is easy and I like that I can quickly access data on my phone to share.

Oakley Meta Vanguard Glasses
The Oakley Meta Vanguard Glasses are definitely cool and worth all the hype. It was a little bit of a learning curve for me to learn to use them. I'm still struggling a bit but they are so fun to wear on hikes, bike rides, or sport events. I took to them to my nephews soccer game and it was a total game changer. The footage is amazing!

These sunglasses are comfortable, and super cool! I love how they connect to other tech for music, texts, or just weather. Everything in one place! Overall, great concept for outdoor adventures without the need to have multiple devices.

Style could be better but overall good product
Presentation of these glasses was pretty impressive. Opening the box was an experience in itself. There were layers of wrapping and then when you took off the final layer the box folded open leaving the case. The case is sturdy and is the charger for this product, which was really cool. Setup is a breeze and the product is easy to use. Just say hey meta and you can hear the response. The entire family was so excited to try it and being able to say hey meta what am I looking at and have it describe it back to me was wild. After using for weeks I will say the battery life is incredible on these and it is great to use. The only thing I do not like is the style it’s just a little too busy for me.

Beautiful glasses with camera and headphones

The black and red colors look so beautiful on the light. The charging case is hard and durable, which makes it safe to store. They feel lightweight for glasses with camera and sound. It was easy and straightforward to install and handle. Great value glasses.

Little big but awesome!
These are pretty awesome. Sound quality is amazing. My husband can wear these and I can’t even hear his music unless I’m right next to him but it’s perfect for him! He does feel like they are a little large for his face, hence 4 stars. They are very futuristic feeling. He loves to wear them running in sunny South Texas!

Perfect Smart Glasses for Runners and Outdoor Athletes
I gave the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses as a gift for my husband, and they’ve quickly become one of his favorite pieces of gear. He loves to run and uses the Strava app regularly, so being able to pair the glasses with his runs has been a huge plus. It’s incredibly convenient for him to stay connected and capture moments without breaking stride or fumbling with his phone. From a usability standpoint, the glasses are lightweight, comfortable, and stay securely in place even during longer sessions. The lens clarity is excellent in bright conditions, which makes them great for outdoor use, and the controls are intuitive. He especially likes being able to use simple voice prompts to start actions or capture moments, which is perfect when his hands are busy. Another standout is how the glasses can help interpret what’s around him. They can recognize objects, make sense of signs, and even translate text when needed, which adds an extra layer of usefulness, especially when running or training in new places. It’s a surprisingly practical feature! One thing that really impressed us is the video quality while he’s moving. Even when he’s running at pace, the footage stays smooth and watchable, no distracting jumps or shaky movement, so the clips actually feel worth saving and sharing afterward. Overall, these glasses feel thoughtfully designed for runners and anyone who enjoys outdoor sports. As a gift, they were a big hit, and they’ve added a fun, practical upgrade to his usual outdoor training routine.

I had high hopes for these, but ultimately they are far too limited to make them worthwhile. For starters, they only have limited integration with iPhones. The ONLY device supported for workouts is a Garmin device, which requires an additional expensive purchase. They don’t really even work well as basic sunglasses as they’re very bulky and rigid. They do have cool features, such as the ability to record video and take photos, but even that is limited to just a few seconds at a time. The bone conduction isn’t to the level of other bone conduction devices I’ve tried because even at a low volume others around can hear what is being played on the glasses. The charging case is nice and has a pleasing tactile click when you put the glasses back, but don’t go too far from the case because the glasses need to charge frequently. Ultimately, I would pass on these for a few years until the technology improves and allows longer battery, thinner profile and improved third party integrations.

Easy to use and unlocks new capabilities during cy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Oakley meta vanguards look a little large for a petite face, but stay very secure especially with the smaller nose pads available in the box. Taking photos and videos is easy and the sound quality for music is truly great, I was most impressed with the sound quality over any other feature. The battery life could be better but it’s SO fun to be able to take photos and videos while cycling. I haven’t been able to try them outside since it’s winter, but the real benefit I am excited about is the ability to snap shots during activities hands free and on demand while cycling. I never get to take photos during rides but now I can! The app and set up and garmin integration was very easy, only took a few minutes. I can’t wait to use them during a race and snap a cool finish like video! The actual lenses themselves are crystal clear as with any other Oakley sunglasses, and the frames feel very solid and are easy to wipe clean after sweating. The charging case is easy to use although it’s a bit bulky for travel. The quality I have from any other Oakley sunnies are brought to these along with the AI and camera tech, it’s truly the most exciting wearable I’ve tried in a long time.

Love these! So futuristic!
These glasses are so cool. So futuristic! “hey meta what’s that?” And it will tell you everything about what’s in front of you. The sound quality is fantastic, sounds like high quality ear buds but nothing in your ears, I like the sound more than any ear buds I’ve tried! If you are in a loud environment, it can be hard to hear but I haven’t had a problem hearing while I’m out on a run or exercising or everyday use. The volume will also auto adjust if there are loud noises around you. The controls on the side take a minute to get used to and are great for volume control too but sometimes it’s just easier to use your voice to take a picture but it’s great to have options. You have to download the pictures to your phone after the fact, the app makes it really easy. Overall they are so cool! I love them and just can’t believe how well it recognizes everything around me and how much the Ai can do in them. It charges in the case. Last me about a day.

It doesn’t always recognize him at a 100% rate, but it still works wonderfully. They are super stylish frames and fancy for a sporty look. Easy to use. We also have fun with the visual description of the surroundings. They’re great for outdoors becuase they are water proof as well! We hope to try these outdoors soon when the weather gets warmer.

Super Sunglasses!
These Oakley Meta Sunglasses are technological marvels. They do the basics of sunglasses well and then add so much extra functionality it is ridiculous. Speakers, microphone, camera and connectivity with health programs to help monitor exercise. All of that in a pair of sunglasses! The only downside, if you can call it that, is they are slightly bulkier than regular sunglasses, but i believe they will continue to improve this aspect as the technology continues to improve.

Great option if you like handsfree updates and take a lot of photos/video
If you’re looking for a way to record your workouts, or to be able to track your stats while working out without messing with your watch, these may be a good fit for you. I trialed these with a run and a ski day, and with voice command was able to check pacing, distance, time, and have Meta record stills and video at standard or time-lapse speed The battery life was good, and I still have charge after an hour run and full day skiing with temps below freezing. Image quality was clear. I did run into issues a few times where the glasses didn’t pick up my speech request until I had repeated it multiple times. The sunglasses did a good job projecting my eyes, and were even able to replace my ski goggles while the weather was nice. Definitely check if you plan to pair it with a fitness watch that it is compatible. Only one of my two Garmin watches worked with these. If you like to take a lot of pictures or video, then these may be a good option for you.

Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses
Welcome to the Boss of all Glasses!!! I am not usually that particular about sunglasses. But this one has blown me away. Voice commands and video recording a few highlights of what it can do! How amazing! Of course it has all the high qualities of normal protection from the sun. It has a comfortable frame and It can be worn for long periods of time. It is not heavy. I definitely recommend this perfect accessory.
