The blaster accessory is really cool and snaps on in both modes, making it extra fun. The figure is small but sturdy, and he’s been creating so many little battles with it. My five year old has a lot of different transformers from different product lines, and this one, for me, falls sort of in the middle. Pros: - Great detailing, the transformer face and vehicle details are better than some other lines - satisfying vehicle mode - looks and acts like a real toy car, truly hides the transformer - not a lot of steps, good for young kids or beginners (but only after it is worn in - more on that below) Cons: - extremely difficult to transform at first. I’m not sure why but this transformer absolutely requires you to FORCE it to transform when it’s new. It was impossible for my son and very difficult for my husband and I. Pretty much a universal transformer rule is to never force them, so this was frustrating. We have had this product for a month now and the mechanism has loosened up and we are all able to do it easily now, but still the pieces are pretty “sticky” when you move them (I tried to show that in the short video) - parts come off the transformer VERY easily. Legs, arms, etc will just pop right off when you’re trying to transform it. Plastic ball joints that are not very tight. I’ve never had a transformer come apart so easily. See pictures for how it looks with disconnected parts. Definitely not suitable for kids who put things in their mouths or lose small parts easily. The parts can also fit multiple ways since they are ball joints, so you have to know how to put it back together correctly (and it is not always obvious) or it won’t transform anymore. Overall, this has become one of my son’s favorites. But he has also nicknamed it “Tricky Optimus” because it’s not very intuitive or easy compared to others. Once it is loosened up, I would say it ranks pretty high. It is around the same difficulty as some of our lower quality ones (Transformers One 1-3 step line) and has better mechanics than some of our more expensive ones (Studio Line). If you’re a parent to a younger child, you may need to transform this one for them until it loosens up! One other side note: it is smaller than I thought it would be from online pictures. I put my fairly average adult hand next to it in the first photo to show the size

This Optimus robot is his special love, he has never had one before. It is small and made of very high quality material. The plastic is very high quality and safe, as the parts are well attached. It is not difficult for a child of 3 years old to fold and unfold it by himself. It also came very well. My son is satisfied, and this is the most important thing for me. Now we will buy the rest of this series for our collection! But we will give it to you for your birthday. This is a very versatile toy. I recommend it, as the toy can last a very long time.

The packaging is cool and displays the the different version of the toy that you can create. The value of the toy is ok since you do get two different versions in one toy. My only issues is that sometime the legs and arm pop of when when transforming so the kiddos need help popping them back on. Overall it’s a fun toy that any transformer kid would love!

Packaging is simple and kid-proof. Not safe for kids under 6 since there are small parts and to avoid choking. Very versatile and durable. This 4-inch Optimus Prime toy changes from robot to truck mode in just 2 steps that are simple enough for kids ages 6 and up, and comes with a converting blaster accessory that can be attached in both modes. He gets to nurture his imagination and collect other Transformer characters!

My 9 year old found it fun and challenging to transform the truck to the robot and back. My 2.5 year old loved playing with both versions of the toy, but is too young to be able to transform it. Toy is small, and comes apart into a handful of pieces, some of which are small and easy to lose, so I would not recommend this toy to young children or kids that struggle with dexterity/fine motor, it may be frustrating for them. Packaging was nice, not difficult to open.
