There was no weird aftertaste however the chewiness is a tiny bit different than when I make it in a pot on the stove. I think my jasmine rice on the stove has a little more moisture.     [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is super conveinient for travel or just a super quick easy lunch. the jasmine rice tastes good but there is a slightly noticable oily taste/ residue. looking at the ingredients i assume that is from the added oils in the product. it would definitely taste better without the added oils but they may be needed for cooking reasons. its nice that this rice is done in under 4 minutes in the microwave great for an easy meal or side. i dont think this is somegthing i would go out of my way to repurchase because i was not the biggest fan of the added oil taste/texture. but overall this is a good projuct.
