Smells like diarrhea
My mother bought this soup and had it for dinner while I was out. When I got home, I was worried by the smell of the house because it smelled like someone had diarrhea. I asked my mother if she or her dog had diarrhea, but she confirmed nothing of the sort happened. I investigated all over the house until I checked the kitchen trash. It was the soup can. The soup smells like hot diarrhea. I don’t know how anyone can stomach eating something that smells like this. Currently, am hoping it doesn’t cause my mother actual diarrhea. This is a “wait and see” type of night.

I’ve never reviewed a soup before but good grief was this one is terrible enough that here I am. It’s so salty my mouth hurt eating it and there’s absolutely no flavor except bitter. Needs a complete reimagining.

Campbell's Soup, or Campbell's Slop?
Very slimy. Not soup consistency at all. Super salty, very little flavor other beyond the salt. I would like it better if the can didn't specifically say not to add water. This product at the VERY least needs some water so it isn't just slime. I like chicken stock but when you cook soup that's nothing but chicken stock it turns into gel. Tweak the formula or the label/instructions on this one. Theoretically this product should be good but the execution is bad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I appreciate the 20g of protein, this canned soup was lacking flavor. The lemon pepper is present but mild, and the rest of the soup is pretty tasteless and bland. The chicken chunks felt low quality and lacked the flavor of standard boiled chicken. It reminded me of bland food that you eat when your stomach is upset. This is a pass for me until the broth seasoning and the chicken quality is improved.

Strong Smell and Flavor

Once I got past the smell, the taste of the soup was not too strong and offered a variety of flavors. This is not the typical boring can of soup which I liked. I also liked the chickpeas that add more fiber. If you are looking for a more gourmet style soup, I would suggest this soup. If you are looking for a comfort food, plain type soup I would not advise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this soup came, I was excited to try it out. Reading the label, the ingredients seem to be well-chosen for a commercial canned soup. I just can't get past the flavor personally. It smells good, but also very strong. The best way I can describe it is ad if you're eating hot/warmed up lemon pepper tuna. Now, I do like lemon pepper tuna, but going into it, that's not particularly the flavor I was hoping for. I do think others would like it, so I can't say more to that, but it's just not for me this time.

Looks better than it tastes

The pepper flavor came through very strongly and then it had an aftertaste that was strange and unappetizing. There wasn’t much of a lemon flavor. Ultimately it tasted like an artificially flavored canned soup. Pretty disappointed.
