Women's Carpenter Shorts, 3"

shorts are pretty good. I got a size 28 and i’m 5’7” and around 140 lb. They feel well made, the pockets are deep, and the contrast stitching is super cute and cool. However, they weren’t quite what i was looking for. I was hoping for a looser fit in the thigh and hips, but these are slim fitting. If I ordered a size up, then they’d be too loose in the waist. The hunt is still on for the perfect shorts for me…

Not the same fabric as expected —thinner and darker than I remember, but ok. Runs large, I’m 5.4” 145lbs and a typical size 8, but could have easily gone down a size. Overall they’re fine for work shorts.

I’m very happy with the fit and style of these shorts. They are a true high-rise waist. They have deep front pockets and the large back pockets look nice. The material feels like denim, they are not stretchy. I have two pair, one in blue and one in tan. I get complimented every time I wear them.

So glad I ordered these, I’ve had not great luck with other carpenter shorts as there’s always something about them that doesn’t fit right- but these are great! They’re lose enough that I don’t feel like I’m being swallowed by my shorts but they’re not too bagging where most would create a diaper effect in the back. Definitely want to order the black pair as well!

I love these shorts! I'm 5'0 and about 118 lbs. - I purchased a 24. Everybody said these run very large - I did not personally feel that way about them? I feel like they're perfect and certainly fit like their size! The length is great if you have more of an athletic build - not a whole lot of scrunching or riding up which is perfect for getting active in these like I plan to. 10/10 would purchase again and might.

These fit in all the right places! My new favorite summer shorts. Great color (brown) & great quality.

Sizing is a bit confusing. I ordered a 27 and my waist is a 27.5 in it fits a little big. So order an inch down

I am a size 30 in men's Dickies pants so I ordered a size 29 in these shorts. The comments are true, I'm going to reorder them in a size 27 or 26 for a better fit - they're definitely two sizes too big.

I was so excited about these shorts however, the sizing is STUPID and was NOT helpful AT ALL!!!!!!! I got them on clearance so stuck with super huge shorts. I ordered a 26 because I do like shorts to fit closer to my hips however, these look ridiculous on me. Had I been better informed, I would have gone with a 24. Do better and fix your dumb sizing chart so it actually references actual sizes you offer.

Rating only 3 stars because I bought the Deep Lake blue color on clearance, and they are huge, so I can't actually wear them nor can I return or exchange them for a smaller size. I tried using the size guide, but it's not helpful since it lists measurements for sizes as S/M/L, etc, and that's not how you order sizes. My natural waist measures 30, I took a chance a got a 29, and it's still 1, maybe even 2sizes too big. So it was a total waste of money. It's also too bad, because the color is beautiful, and the length seemed perfect, overall they seem like well-made shorts. But the sizing is an issue, and being unable to return or exchange for something as basic as fit is frustrating.

Sizing is incredibly inconsistent. I am for sure a size 27. I ordered these in size 25 and 26 and both are too big.

Great everyday summer shorts for work and errands. Nice length - short but not TOO short. Material does not stretch much so I’d order true to size. (For reference, I am 5’9” around 150 lb (usually an 8/10 in pants and the size 30 fits perfectly with a belt). The material is lightweight but doesn’t feel cheap, and the white stitching is really cute (I have them in green but might get another pair bc I’ve been wearing them to work every day.) Perfect if you want something a little nicer than cut offs to wear around.
