We used this shampoo exclusively for nearly 5 years. It WAS amazing! Smelled delicious! Always great. And then… I ordered my refills a little while back and something was off. The smell changed. It was not pleasant. I did not like it at all. But even worse, my hair hated it! I started getting dry, itchy scalp. My hair was shedding quite a lot. I started getting split ends which I never got as I don’t use heat or styling products at all. I was devastated they changed our beloved shampoo! We won’t buy it anymore. I’ve switched to Prose and that’s working so much better for me now. So disappointed in Keihl’s changing one of their best staple products. My entire family of 6 used this, but no longer!

Okay, why have I been dragging my feet on purchasing the amino acid shampoo and conditioner?!!! I’ve been missing out. My hair is thanking me now for sure. I love these and I’m so glad they are refillable. It’s gentle, has a subtle scent, and makes my hair feel so clean and soft. Highly recommend.

Dries hair and scalp out. Had to stop using as it began causing flaking. Prob best for oily hair.

I have very fine hair, and this shampoo does not dry my hair out like a lot of shampoos. I also like the corresponding conditioner

I been using this product for the last 2 years. Recently bought and seems like new formula changing or something make my hair loosing alot and dry it out. I’m so disappointed

This is a great clarifying shampoo and the scent is delicious! I have curly hair and it works great in complement to the shampoo.

my hair frizzes a lot and being of African descent , my hair could be a bit difficult to manage especially after braids . this product has been the go to

Not too impressed with that product, it’s not soapy at all , you need a lot of product to see and feel the difference and it’s wasting product, it looks very watery and not what I expected after paying so much

Amino Acid Shampoo is a favorite! The shampoo leaves my hair with a nice shine and soft feel. Great product! I also like and miss your sunflower shampoo.

I know everyone's hair is different. I used this same bottle of shampoo for about two years (I only wash once a week so it took me a long time to get through it) and it absolutely destroyed my hair. I am not being dramatic. Above both my ears, I have huge chunks missing where the hair broke off at the roots, my stylist thought I shaved my head right there (the hair right there is already finer than the rest of my hair so I am assuming it was extra susceptible to this harsh forumula). I didn't realize it was this shampoo until I finally used it up 6 months ago, switched to a shampoo bar and those chunks have now grown back about 2 -3 inches, I haven't changed anything else. the rest of my hair was SO frizzy and dry, I couldn't figure out what was going on, no deep conditioner would remedy. Now that has been reversed and my hair is mostly back to being soft and not frizzy. I can't believe I used up this whole bottle, I feel like an idiot. I even went to the doctors to see if it was my thyroid (nope) because the hair breakage was so concerning. long story short- try the easiest remedy first if you're having hair loss- change shampoos!

Absolutely love the conditioner, but this shampoo just doesn't make my hair feel stripped of grease and oils after shampooing. Maybe it's just my hair or I'm used to different conditioners. I've set up a system now where I use other shampoos to get that quality, but use the beloved keihl's conditioner after.

As a 78 year old man, I don’t have much hair left to wash. But, what I do have to wash loves the Kiehl’s Amino Acid Shampoo. This little patch of hair at the back of my head feels invigorated, healthy and smells great! I have been using Kiehl’s products for overdo years. They are the BEST!!!

This shampoo makes my hair feel great! So soft & clean.
