Hunter 52" Pelston Lighted Ceiling Fan Matte Black Finish with Integrated LED and Pull Chain Control for Damp Rated Indoor Spaces

We probably should have returned this fan when we realized the problems it has. Unfortunately, after putting it up the added hassle of taking it down again just didn't seem worth it. Light Kit: We thought the light kit that comes with it would look really cool but - as it turns out - it's actually kind of ugly. The light bulbs are totally visible and the bulbs that come with it aren't of any use for seeing in a room. It's definitely "ambient light" meaning, think of the lights as more like candlelights. That said, having the bulbs visible is kind of painful. We're aware we could put brighter bulbs in but we'd still have to come up with some way to make the bulbs not visible. We found a Hunter light kit we'd like to exchange it for but online customer chat help informed me that the light kit on this fan cannot be changed. That's really disappointing. As for the fan itself, high speed is pretty intense and great for needing to really get air moving fast.....but, the difference between high speed and medium speed is shockingly different. There should have definitely been a speed between high and medium. Often high speed is way too much and medium isn't enough. Overall we're pretty disappointed with this fan.

The engineers who design the attachment procedure for the Light Kit should have to install 10 of these while on a ladder with the fan overhead. It is beyond ridiculous. You have to fight through a mass of wires inside a small metal box to even find the holes to attempt to install screws all the while on a ladder with limited light levels. Not to mention then you have to cram wires and various electric control devices back into the metal box to secure the cover, while hoping none of the wiring get messed up and then you would have to take it apart again…….

I like the look of the fan. But the motor is very noisy compared to my other hunter fans. And the light bulbs flicker when you turn them on. Before you ask yes the fan was installed by a professional not myself. Thanks

Blows huge amount of air noiselessly. Lights are perfect amber with low intensity for screened porch get togethers.

Great looking fan, puts out a great breeze. Hanging motor easy. Installing fan blades, much easier than most particularly if you put bolt in first and thread on nut rather than nut first. Installing light kit is a b**** as wires and connectors are in the way and you are working in the dark, trying to insert a screw in a misaligned hole.

LOVE IT! I have wanted a ceiling fan for our back porch for ever. With the unbelieveable deals during the 20 Days of Deals, I finally pulled the trigger. Why did I ever wait! It was fairly simple to install, everything was coded as to what step, and very good quality and now sitting on the porch on a hot day is so much nicer.

These fans are modern and very cool. Easy installation too.

It was very easy to install. The amount of air flow is better than expected for an outdoor fan. I can’t wait to use it during the Texas summer!

The blades are all made of plastic so they can handle moisture and the caged LED lights give a nice industrial feel. The three speed motor is quiet yet moves plenty of air on high setting. We have used other Hunter ceiling fan products previously in porches so we were confident the motors would withstand harsh conditions and run for decades. The installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. You will need to supply your own ceiling fan rated electrical box, but everything’s else is included with the fan. The Two LED bulbs (included) are energy efficient and provide ample illumination. We chose the white color, but it comes in multiple colors to match your motif. Hunter quality is legendary and this Spring Mill outdoor rated fan is perfect for indoor or outdoor use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely easy to install. This took probably only 35-40 minutes to install inside our screened back porch. Lightweight so made putting up a breeze, easy to understand instructions. Fan is made from a heavy outdoor material for easy cleaning/wiping. Bulbs work great and pull chains good length. No drop bar was needed. Flush with ceiling. Great outdoor fan. Light has cage which has to be removed to change light bulbs but you can reach in to change blade direction switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has to be one of the nicest looking outdoor fans I have seen. I installed this on our back patio and feel it looks absolutely stunning. I have 4 indoor hunter fans and have installed 50+ ceiling fans over the years and would say this was a medium level install. Not a 10-minute job but also not an all-day job. I was able to install in 40 minutes myself. Would have been much faster but did struggle more than I should have had to with the wiring harness. Does seem well made like other hunter fans but will say the cage and blades are plastic. However, being an outside fan, this is probably preferred. When installed it is elegant looking and you can’t tell its plastic. Light could be brighter, but wife likes the amount of light it emits. There is no light cover – only the cage. I actually prefer this being an outdoor fan and like the fact I won’t have to constantly being cleaning bugs out of a light cover. Surprisingly this is quieter than several of my indoor fans and produces a good amount of air. Overall, I am very happy with the look and functionality of this outdoor fan.

Overall I love the fans, I am not happy that they wobble right out of the box. To balance you have to buy "more stuff" to correct the issue. I have not yet purchased the balancing kit and feel it should be supplied with the fans.

Outside screen room installation. Looks nice. Blade installation with two piece screws can be challenging. Use the 4 screws without washers on the plastic light cover.

And this fan is perfect for it, put the final touch to it. The silver matte color and the industrial look is perfect for an outdoorsy feel.
