Not a Happy Customer

I purchased this fan to replace a Hunter original that I had for over 20 years and died. I mounted the fan and the only place that I can feel the air moving is if I stand directly under it. We have always bought Hunter fans. I am currently sitting under 2 1886 model fans and have 5 more Hunter fans in my home so I consider myself a loyal Hunter Fan customer! I have purchased another Hunter Original but I guess I am stuck with this one!

Does not last

Not happy with these fans. I purchased 4 of them when I moved into a new house last winter, and all of them started making random noises before the end of the first summer. Now that summer 2 has started I’m realizing how annoying they are. Not looking forward to replacing/trying to take apart and fix after such a short time.

Replacement fan

I purchased this fan to replace a 48" Hunter fan that was over ten years old. Simple to install and reused my remote from previous fan. Works like a charm!

Fan of the Newsome 3-Light

Clear instructions made the installation straightforward. The fan is quiet and effective at all speeds. The three lights are plenty bright — consider a dimmer if you have situations (watching TV, low light for sleeping) where bright light is undesirable.
