Hunter 42" Newsome Lighted Ceiling Fan Brushed Nickel Finish Medium Walnut Blades

Fan is good. But my smart bulbs will not fit in the fixture, not enough clearance. Pain in the backend.

Still waiting for our electrician to install the fan, but it looks lovely in the box. Cant wait to try it as we loved our previous Hunter Fans.

The fan fits perfectly in our 10 x 10 room and provides very good airflow. The blade and housing color fits with the rest of the room very well. The fan is extremely quiet, so it's not going to disturb any activity that might be going on (reading, etc). I thought that the chain hanging down might hit me in the head when I walk by, but there's 5' 10" of clearance, so unless you're over 5'10" tall, you won't hit it. I am extremely happy with this fan and would highly recommend it.

I bought 3 of the Newsome Low Profile fans. They match the light fixtures in my house. They all came with a yellowish glass globes. Unfortunately, that diminishes the lighting in the room. Luckily the electrician broke one of the globes, and ordered another...and it was white!!! Much better, and we also increase the wattage of the light bulbs. So there are white glass globes available, to replace the yellowish ones. Part Number K070201146 Globe/Shade. The motor is not quiet, although called whisper, it has a clicking sound all 3 of the fans demonstrate this clicking sound.

Bought this fan a week ago nothing I mean nothing at all is correct. From Hunter's own schematic drawings being almost 2" wrong. My advice do not use this company, you will most undoubtedly have issues. Spend a little more money for a better product, this is what had to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 42 inch. white low profile fan by Newsome is a fantastic buy compared to much HIGHER END COMPETITORS made exactly the SAME WAY! I KNOW because I install them for people for side work. You shouldn't have to spend more than an hour for INSTALL if your a DIY TYPE or NOT ( EVEN LESS IF THE CEILING ALREADY HAS A LIGHT THERE OR ONE WIRED THERE FOR YOU ) I personally took under 25 min. but like I said I do it all the time. Please REMEMBER to SHUT OFF ALL POWER at your PANEL prior to STARTING INSTALL. This particular fan is not meant for outdoor porches UNLESS they are ENCLOSED ALL AROUND by GLASS WINDOWS & DOOR. It has 5 WHITE BLADES that are REVERSIBLE, which makes it NICE & CONVENIENT. So when you want to change up the look of your room maybe along with a new furniture set, a simple screw driver will do the trick in less than 15 minutes! This fan is very BASIC there's no REMOTE CONTROL which is a DOWNSIDE to it, ofcourse your light switch can control the lighting portion of it though the fans control, HIGH,MED & LOW will need some PULLING..haha! All in all this is a great option for homes & businesses as well. It looks great in most bedrooms, dens & offices too!

The picture showed black fan blades I was happy with that but when we got it I realized the blades were gray on the other side i was very excited. We put it up with the gray side showing and I absolutely love it. The light is very nice and just the right amount of light for us with the bulbs that came with it. The fan is very pretty and I am so pleased with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful fan and modern design with flat black finish. This fan and light needs to be installed correctly but the installation went relatively easy. Fan runs quietly and smoothly . Love the way it looks in my house.
