Not so easy to assemble; seat is VERY firm
Got this in brown tweed (nice) for my mom who needed a 17-18" high seat with wooden arms. Supposedly, it was 50% off. Time will tell, but the seat is pretty firm, so not comfy off-the-bat. One measurement I should've paid more attention to is the seat depth, a deep 23". so I'll need to get a thick, flat pillow for mom to lean on. The chair was not so straightfoward to assemble. Upon following directions (illustration only, no text) to put the sides and seat, and front wooden piece together, then add the back cushion resulted in frustration. The back cushion just would not line up its two metal plates with the back top of the seat. So It meant loosening all the wooden parts I had already assembled, so I could attach the seat and back cushions together as the first step, and THEN fitting them into the "frame" -- in direction opposition to the assembly instructions. But even that step was challenging because there were no screw holes in the wooden frame in the seat! I had to drill 4 holes myself. (How does a manufacturer neglect to do that?) Flat head and Phillips screwdrivers are also needed, but get no mention (or picture) in the instructions. In reality, I needed a 2nd person to finish the job. Some of the wooden parts were not pristine (maybe this chair been returned?). The chair does look good, though. It seems it will last.
