The chair is incredibly cute. Which is important, because you will need something to love while assembling it. The instructions are… ambitious. They appear to have been written by a third grader on a strict word budget. Minimalist to a fault. You are not so much guided through the process as gently abandoned. Now for the adventure. The chair comes with one piece pre-assembled. Mine, however, was pre-assembled upside down. So before I even began, I got to enjoy a bonus round of ripping off Velcro and reattaching it correctly. Shout out to my hot glue gun and staple gun for stepping in where quality control did not. Next, I went to attach the chair and discovered the Velcro on the chair itself was sewn in backwards. The side that is supposed to stick was facing inward, while the smooth side was proudly on display doing absolutely nothing. So, round two of Velcro surgery. Then came the bolts. The sockets for the screws were installed backwards, which felt on brand at this point. Through a combination of luck, curiosity, and mild disbelief, I drilled through the fabric and managed to access the bolts from the backside. Not in the instructions, but highly recommended. What should have been a 20-minute assembly turned into a full hour of improvisation, problem solving, and questioning my life choices. All that said… the chair is still very cute. Just know going in, you are not assembling furniture. You are starring in your own episode of MacGyver: Living Room Edition.

Beautiful color and super soft texture. One thing to know: it takes about 3 days to fully fluff up after unboxing, so give it some time before you judge it. I skipped the swivel base because it made the chair feel pretty unstable, so I’d say don’t go in expecting a functional swivel chair. But as a foam accent chair? It’s genuinely cute and comfortable.
