The color listed as “sand” on Target refers to the lighter beige shade shown in the product images. Chairs are solid and comfy

The chairs are VERY comfortable, swivel easy and solid frame. They are a little wider for the larger person. I bought the color sand and it's a real nice oatmeal color and texture. Very happy with this buy and the price is amazing for the quality.
