These strawberry shortcake dessert bars are so nostalgic for me and my family. My father owned a local deli where he sold them and the cookie, icecream, and sorbet were blended so heavenly. I got these yesterday to share that shame joyful memory and deliciousness with my kids. (They think they’re delicious because they don’t know the difference) but these are not even close to the same. There’s no icecream - you can see that in the photos. There’s no cookie crumbs and the crumbs I tasted were coconut consistency 😔 I thought maybe I just got a bad bar… but I inspected everyone’s and 3 of 4 were cookie’less and only one showed a morsel of icecream. I can say breyers icecream recreated this in the container that was DELIGHTFUL and brought back memories more than these. Bummer

Absolutely horrible. No strawberry crunch or vanilla ice cream. They must have changed the receipt because the flavor was off putting and the texture was similar to a popsicle rather than ice cream.

This is not the same recipe as it use to be! Hardly any crunchy coating, small, and taste like coconut. The Blue Bunny brand and Kroger brand are the nostalgic taste I remember.

Rating it a 1 because there is no '0' option. We bought 2 boxes and thought there must have been a mistake with the bar...no vanilla ice cream. So, we went back to the store and bought another box several days later. Same thing! No vanilla ice cream. These are terrible. Must find a different brand. I'm afraid to buy the creamsicle.

Wow, these things are bad compared to how they used to be. The center was supposed to be strawberry ice cream flavor, but it was more like ice with very very minimal strawberry flavor and there was absolutely no vanilla coating on the outside and I could not believe how small they were in comparison to what they used to be.

The outside portion which is the best part is no longer done. I have tried these ice creams from gas stations to other grocery stores. The company no longer fills the outside with delicious shortcake crumbs. I thought maybe it was just one, but none of the six in the box had it.

I cannot believe these bats came out of the box that I just purchased. It looks. Irving like the picture and description. It has no crumb coating at all on the outside nor any vanilla ice-cream inside. The entire bar is an artificial strawberry fake sherbet. It’s so bad that it cannot even pass as being a sherbet. So disappointing. Will not buy again

I buy these regularly & tonight my toddler & I were sharing one & I bit down on something hard. I immediately knew it was not good. I spit it out & it was a chunk of wood! I thought maybe my popsicle stick had a piece break off, but my stick wasn't damaged at all. It was a random splintery chunk of wood stuck in with the red and white crunchy pieces 🤮 I would like to make customer service aware of this but not sure how to contact them. Im going to throw away the remainder of the box just to be safe. I'm not concerned about whether my toddler or I ingested any other little pieces of wood like this.

Probably be the last time buying these. Strong coconut taste which I like coconut but not in this and if coconut was in the original recipe you can never tell. Barely any cake coating and the inside all pink. Why change something that’s not broken. I know they changed it since now but nothing like this. This sucks.

But lately I have received boxes with bear ice creams ..the small pieces of cake is missing and there's no vanilla ice cream!! They're usually 100% satisfied..Maybe we can make them and sale them with extra shortcake pieces. I WOULD buy that everyday. New recipe is horrible. Doesn't have any vanilla ice cream in it anywhere. It had the consistency of a popsicle and had hardly any of the red and white colored crumbs on the outside. I do not recommend to anyone and will not buy them again.

I purchased 3 boxes and I was excited to get home and share with my daughters. I remembered these from when I was younger and wanted them to taste and enjoy as I once did. I tasted 1 and was immediately disappointed with the size and chemical taste of this ice cream bar. Nothing like I remembered. GOOD HUMOR YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

This is definitely false advertising. The ice cream bars look nothing like pictured. I purchased them for the coating. I can buy a half gallon of strawberry swirled vanilla ice cream for the same price if I only wanted ice cream.
