Summary of reviews

Morningstar Farms bacon strips have garnered mixed feedback from guests, with many praising their taste and texture as a satisfying alternative to traditional bacon. However, concerns about misleading labeling, the inclusion of non-vegan ingredients like egg whites and milk, and the use of artificial dyes have left some guests disappointed. Despite these issues, the product remains popular for its flavor and versatility in various dishes, making it a staple for many looking to reduce meat consumption.

I have bought this product for years and it's been delicious. Just bought it this weekend and the strips are wide less white parts which is still fine but when cooked it didn't get crispy unless it was burnt and it doesn't have much flavor at all. I won't be repurchasing this product. Shame after years of enjoying this product that they had to ruin it.

Plant based? That’s a lie! These contain eggs and milk. What part of that is plant based? Yikes that’s very misleading and dangerous for someone with allergies.

Stop calling it veggie bacon when there's egg whites in it. Remove the caramel color and red 3 from your products, red 3 is now banned. And first ingredient is soy oil. You're going to have to start putting some thought and effort into your ingredients instead of just producing junk. I won't buy again. And I probably won't buy morningstar products again until they stop using unhealthy ingredients and marketing it as healthier choice.

I regularly used to buy a lot of MorningStar products because I eat vegan or plant based. The label on these says plant based on the front and back however there is eggs and milk as well as FDA band in cosmetics red dye. Really terrible.

Dyes and Artificial Flavors? Not for Me

I bought these to introduce more plant-based foods into my diet as substitutes for meat. The taste/texture were 'ok' but something I could get used to over time. After eating them twice, my friend Iooked more closely at the ingredient list and saw that dyes and artifical flavors were added. I threw them away. There is no healthy recipe that includes chemical dyes or additives. Very disappointed.

These strips cook up easily and add the perfect smoky-salty tang to avocado toast. I love them! They are the perfect substitute for vegetarians. Vegans - please stop leaving reviews for products you haven’t tasted. If you’re old enough to leave a review, you’re old enough to read an ingredient list. Vegetarians are people too.

I like the flavor and texture. But these aren’t plant based by the true definition. They contain milk and eggs, which should be clearly stated on the front of the box. Milk and eggs are two very common food allergies/intolerances that people try to avoid, and unfortunately for me I became complacent in trusting the “plant based” label on most other things. I’m fortunate in that my avoidance of dairy and eggs is to prevent discomfort rather than severe illness.
