Bad shortage of Chicken with Rice Choice Cut

My dogs love Chicken with Rice Choice Cut......there is a serious shortage of them in the Las Vegas area now. I also prefer Choice Cuts varieties rather than the chopped brands because they are easier for me to feed my dogs with my arthritis in my hands. Make plenty of that flavor and keep Las Vegas area loaded with that variety.

Not the norm

Normally this has a better consistency. It has always been a thick ground texture. These cans were more of a puree consistency. They practically poured out of the can. You could see no rice pieces at all. Was more like a cold gravy consistency. Have been trying to contact Pedigree to see if formula has changed with no luck of getting through.

Our pedigree has changed the facility to a secondary new one, where they produce our PEDIGREE RICE AND CHICKEN recipe, so the product is being made in a different process now making it have a different texture by blending it more than before. It is still the same formula but its basically more ground from this facility and you do not see the physical rice in there making it look similar to a pate consistency.

I bought 12 cans and noticed that it changed from chopped to pate chicken and rice.

Hello Phyllis! Our PEDIGREE team has changed the facility to a secondary new one. With this change and the production of our PEDIGREE RICE AND CHICKEN recipe, so the product is being made with a different process now making it have a different texture by blending it more. It is still the same formula but more ground from this facility. This makes the recipe similar to a pate consistency. My sisters dog loves this dog food it’s practically the only flavor she likes. Its a bit messy and you do have to chop it up for your dog but that’s not that bad. Overall it’s not very pricey and our dog loves it. I would recommend it
