Real Coca-Cola like we had in the 80s. No high fructose corn syrup. Just real sugar which comes from sugar cane (cane sugar). High fructose corn syrup (HFCS-55) is nasty.

Recent batch is off. Tastes herbal and bitter. Not like Mexican coke should. Beware

I was delighted to find Mexican coke at Target. This is not Mexican Coca-Coca Cola. It's watered down and flavorless and not carbonated like real Mexican coke. So disappointing.

I have read many of the reviews and am so surprised by some of the odd comments. Let’s just discuss the fact that I will never drink a Coke from a tin can EVER again. Also the pure cane sugar is much better tasting and in MY opinion better for you than the glop they use in all the other coke products around the world. The 12 ounce bottle is perfect for one person or to share between 2 glasses with ice. I found what we lovingly call Mexican Cokes in a very ritzy specialty store in Michigan in 2012 and introduced many friends to the glorious taste of real sugar in the Coke. I have found out as maybe many of you have that because of the shape of bottle and the very narrow neck that if you open one then have a few drinks and fall asleep, the next morning you can take a drink and it won’t be cold but you will still get that marvelous burn as you take a big drink. If you think what I say can’t be true, give it a try for yourself. Believe me it is true and remember I said if you have had a few drinks from the bottle not drank it down to the almost last drop and proclaim that the crazy woman from Michigan/Arizona docent know what she is talking about. Here is my best tip for enjoying a Mexican Coke. Go to the grocery store and buy yourself a small bag of the good ice you buy for parties to make drinks. Then pick out several soft limes and get several bottles of Mexican cokes. When you get home call a few friends to come have some drinks Non alcoholic for our under 21 crowd and designated drivers. Drinks for anyone who loves a Coke with their favorite liquor. Wash the limes with baking soda to remove any pesticides and dry off . Take only and I mean only glass cups and squeeze 1/4 of half a lime in bottom of glass and put in freezer 30 minutes before guests arrive for cocktails. Keep all the squeezed limes in a bowl on the counter. Put the “good” ice into a nice bowl in the freezer and have lots of Mexican cokes out. No need to chill unless someone doesn’t want ice. Take the glass from freezer, put in the amount of ice desired by guest . ( remember bottom has pure lime juice) Then if a non alcoholic drink is being made pour Mexican Coke in almost to top and then take a pice r of the reserved lime from bowl rub it all around rim and either put rest of lime into Coke or into your garbage disposal for the best smelling sink. PS always have straws available in paper not plastic. It does make a difference in how it tastes and the environment. If you want add white rum and you have yourself a Cuba Libra. After one or 2 of those you will be quite continental!!!!!! I hope everyone got something out of this review as the goal is to get as many converts to Mexican Coke so it will be served everywhere including McDonalds!!! Now if you want
