It's built from Acacia wood in a chestnut brown finish which has undergone a multistep wire-brush process. It's complemented by a cushioned seat upholstered with faux leather polyurethane upholstery. When the meal is over, just wipe the seat with a damp cloth to clear up any spills or crumbs. The dining bench's seat fits two people comfortably. So sad that I came here [after the fact] post-putting the bench together only to discover that others have already expressed that the cushion is not black. I wish I had read that sooner. The photos are a bit deceiving. Looks like I'll be having to buy some leather dye.

I recently bought the Boraam Industries Rasmus 60-in Chestnut Wire-Brush Acacia Wood Dining Bench, and I'm very pleased with it. The midcentury style with its medium brown acacia wood and brown faux leather seat looks great in my dining area. It’s a gorgeous dining bench! The seat is definitely a dark brown, but I’m not mad it. It actually looks better than if it were black. I’m not sure why some people are having issues with it breaking, this bench for me is incredibly sturdy. My children have jumped up and down on it, two adults have sat on it, and it’s held up well. It’s pretty heavy too and feels more lux than $200. You could get a piece like this at West Elm for quadruple the price. I LOVE this bench!

The bench is a great quality. It’s sturdy and easy to assemble. The cushion is brown not black as people have pointed out. It’s a nice walnut brown “leather” that matches the color of the wood. I won’t be returning it but the color mix up is quite a bummer.
