A: Hi - this design uses a standard-medium base bulb. If you use an incandescent bulb those can get hot, so we would suggest using an LED with the lamp, as LEDs have a very low heat output. Thank you for the question!

Ease of use and it works with no problem. I have been using desk lamp every night whenever I have paperwork or art project. It's designed so that I can bend it to not shine into my eyes. I am very happy with my purchase! I was also pleasantly surprised to find with my purchase a complimentary led lightbulb included in the packaging! With the cost of lightbulbs being quite costly it was very very nice to receive this complimentary gift! On the box it says the light bulb is supposed to last for 13 years and it's dimmable. Lastly the delivery service is excellent. The delivery time far exceeded my expectations. I received my purchase within a few days. Was not expecting such speedy delivery service. Overall I am very happy with Lamps Plus!

I needed a small, dark metal lamp and this one is perfect! I wanted the on/off switch to be on top of the lamp too if possible and this has that! I couldn't be happier!
