Torchiere with Task Light Floor Lamp - Room Essentials™

This lamp broke while I was putting it together. The point where the small light attaches to the lamp post is very weak and breaks off easily.

I love it it doesn't put a glare on the T V. screen, but when I am sewing and doing other crafts the smaller derectional lamp is perfect.

Difficult to get the stand screwed together but finally got it straight then top lamp with 3 way bulb didn't work.

Good light source but a bit wobbly. Good enough for college dorm

This lamp is perfect for reading. I already had one in my music room and got this one for beside my chair in the den. Perfect! Super easy to put together, too!

A nice floor lamp that's a pure value but, and that's not a bad thing. Easy to put together (don't rush or you will damage it since the tubing is light), space saving, and the extra task lamp is a great add-on. For under 20 dollars, it does its job. I would suggest getting good bulbs. I got a 3-way 50-100-150w bulb that cost more than the lamp, but was worth it!

It is not at all sturdy.

We’ve purchased 3 of these same lamps and the 3-way light feature hasn’t worked in 2 of them despite using the required 3-way bulb. Not worth returning because it still illuminates, just not at 3 different brightnesses.

This is garbage. I purchased it and it is the cheapest piece of garbage I have ever gotten from Target and that is really saying something.

It’s a beautiful lamp but beware target sent me a broken one.

Gooseneck is flimsy, should be stiffer. The post is skinnier than expected, but one doesn't buy a $17 lamp for aesthetics. Good lamp overall; only minor issue is the gooseneck.

I definitely recommend this lamp the price is great it's an easy assemble and very bright as long as you get the correct bulbs even from a dollar/discount store hahaha.

I liked the way it looked although it was cheaply made. I wasn't aware it took a three way bulb, which was my bad for not looking. I only found out after the regular bulb continuously flickered. So I spent $15 on the right bulb, only to find that once installed, the lamp becomes top heavy and looks like it would fall over at any second. I couldn't stop looking at it wondering when it would happen. Finally decided it wasn't worth the nerousness and am returning it. I don't feel the phrase "you get what you pay for" is an excuse for shoddy merchandise, having been in customer service for a few decades myself. Not recommended.

I needed an inexpensive light quickly for a spare bedroom, and this one fit the bill. Assembly was easy and did not require any tools. I just screwed the poles together by hand. It is lightweight, and the task light is easy to direct where I need it. The lamp shades and base cover are plastic, but the quality is surprisingly good, especially considering I bought it on sale for about $11. The lighting is excellent in my large room with just this one fixture. It provides a comfortable ambiance and is adjustable, especially with the color-changing smart bulbs I installed, which make the space feel even cozier or brighter depending on my needs. My only critiques are the hole in the plastic base cover for the power cord and a few small drips in the paint finish between the poles. The cord hole is a little loose, but this is a trivial issue since the lamp won’t be moved often. The paint drips are regrettable but not noticeable unless I’m specifically looking for them. For the price, these minor flaws are not dealbreakers. I’m happy with it and planning to buy a second one for another room.

I know it’s cheap, but it’s managed to fail all expectations. The connection between the pole and the base is too small and I have to prop something heavy against the pole so it doesn’t fall over. The three-way function also doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money.
