I was worried after reading the reviews about the shade not going all the way down to the base but ordered anyway since it was on sale. Glad to find out it does go all the way down. You have to use the clip at the bottom to pull the shade down. I saw a similar lamp for $200 and wanted to get a less expensive version. This isn't as nice but for $30 I can't complain! The base is actual wood and the frame is sturdy. The shade is the only real difference. If I want to upgrade later, no harm since this was such a good deal. Very happy with purchase!

This didn't come with the paper shade. Now I have to ship it back to get a refund which is annoying and stupid. I would recommend buying from somewhere else unless you like annoying unecessary errands.

This floor lamp is lovely. To the people complaining about the paper shade not going to the bottom: You have to read the instructions, using the bottom knob to adjust the tension and bring down the shade.

Not as pictured. The paper cylinder doesn’t go to the bottom of the the wooden frame. It hits the top of the frame. The cord is only 4 feet not 8.9 feet as specified in the advertisement.

The paper shade does not reach the floor as shown in the photo… I could only get it reach about half a foot above the floor. The base is exposed. The lamp still looks good though.

So cheap it was destroyed upon delivery. Box arrived with a hole on the side, which should have been thicker to prevent this from happening. Since the hole was where the folded lamp shade was, the shade was torn heavily. Not worth $40 if it can't even survive being shipped. Worth maybe $10 if bought in store.

Exactly as pictured. Easy to assemble. Seems like it hold up for a long time! I was looking at something similar from world market for $200 and found this for way less. Very cutesy, very demure. Just get it :)
