A: Hi - this design uses a maximum 60 watt standard-medium base bulb. A Type B bulb would be a Candelabra bulb, but this design uses a regular standard-medium base bulb.

Q: Can I put a three-way light bulb in?

A: Hi - this design does not have a 3-way socket, so the 3-way bulb functionality will not work in it, the 3-way bulb will only turn on and off to it's highest wattage. However, if you are looking for 3-way functionality we would suggest adding a line cord dimmer switch to the lamp. This will allow you to dim the bulb to whatever setting you want, giving you far more flexibility than a 3-way bulb. Thank you for the question.

A: Hi - not sure what other site you were looking at, but this floor lamp design has an on-off switch on lamp head. It does not have different light settings, but you can always add a line cord dimmer to it that would allow you to set the light level to whatever you wanted.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, it's great until it isn't. My lamp also hangs limp and crooked, and now I will throw it away. Terrible quality, not fixable.

I loved this style lamp and the base which was very sturdy and well balanced. But during a renovation the movers did something to the shade. So it just hung there and was told by lampsaplus it was not repairable. So now wishing to replace it I hesitate to buy this one again as I dont want a similar issue with the shade if its that problamatic in repair.

I really loved this lamp when I first got it. After a couple of months, I was adjusting the angle to get a better light on my book and the shade part became disconnected from the arm. I've tried many times to screw it back in to the proper position but it doesn't lock into place and just hangs at an angle. I searched all around to see if there was some piece missing but found nothing. Lamp works, but the wonky connection of the shade and bulb socket is less than optimal. Disappointing.
