Installation was easy. The light direct down rather than out, but still effectively illuminate the doorway and walkway. It isn't listed as dark sky friendly, but these are certainly dark sky friendlier than the ones these replaced. The design is simple and lends itself to multiple styles. The hammered glass offers just enough distinction to spare the light from looking generic, while not being so radical that you risk the light becoming dated or you tiring of it in a couple of years.
