These headphones offer excellent sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and comfortable wear for extended periods. However, durability issues with the plastic housing and ear pads are common concerns. The touch controls are also noted as being difficult to use. Despite these drawbacks, many guests appreciate the value for the price and the overall performance.

Average -- falls short from previous generations
I have been using the Monoprice SonicSolace headset since the early 2010's. I decided to finally get a replacement headset as their ear muffs' plastic linings were peeling off. This headset falls short of expectations. The touch controls are ok. Buttons are much more reliable to me and having to tap the headset on my head makes uncomfortable noise that I'd rather not hear. In addition, there is an issue where double tapping is able to pause the currently-playing YouTube video when it is windowed on my phone, but double tapping it again will not resume what is playing. It makes the beeping noise confirming the input went through, but the video remains paused; this is on a Google Pixel 9a. The material also feels much cheaper by comparison. It is slightly lighter, but not light enough as it still weighs enough for me to notice. Overall, if not for my current pair losing its plastic covering, I would continue to use it.

Not perfect, but good for the money
Overall, I would recommend; good for the price. The sound is very good and the noise cancelling is much better than in my old Monoprice headphones (SonicSolace Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Wireless Headphones, Black Over Ear Headphones Product# 16219). The construction is not as solid- metal has been replaced by plastic. The ear cups are a bit tight for my admittedly large ears. I don't like the touch-sensitive controls, which I find insensitive and hard to use. I would still be using my old pair, but the charging jack came loose and I can no longer charge them. But otherwise, they were excellent for 7+ years of heavy usage. Haven't quite forced myself to throw them away...

Very good headphones for the price
Like many who are looking to purchase these I picked them up because the price compared to the Bose/Sony versions. I'm writing this after using them for 2 years. - Durability I bought these for travel and to use at work, I don't travel that much, 2-3 times a year, and always carry them in the included case. Cracks began to appear along the sections holding the speakers after about 18 months, at first I thought these were cosmetic (expecting a metal piece to be what held the speakers) I later realized that there is no metal parts. I fixed both sides with JB Weld which appears to work well. The cushions are beginning to flake, and I reached out to Monoprice and they are not replacable so I will have to figure something out. -Noise cancelling They do a reasonably good job with ANC enabled but it appears that the microphone array is configured such that how your head is situated compared to the sound source is important, I find myself having to cock my head somewhat (maybe pointing my nose 10-30 degrees off from direct at the screen) in order to get good noise cancelling performance. -Audio quality Here I can only compare them to ear buds and really cheep headphones, that said, I'm very happy with the performance. - Connectivity I'm not sure how to articulate this as I'm not sure how much of this is the devices I'm connecting to and how much it is the headphones so I'll just compare to my Raycon Impact earbuds. Where my earbuds typically have no issue connecting to both my computer and my Android phone for calls and music these only seem to be able to connect to one for calls and music and the other for just music (or simetimes just mic) This means if I have Teams/Zoom calls secheduled on my computer I have to effectivly dissconnect from my phone.. This might be a problem between the chair and the keyboard (better known as operator error) but it is quite annoying. -Comfort I'm an eyeglass wearer and it really depends which of my glasses I'm wearing. My general purpose eyeglasses have somewhat heaver stems where my computer glasses are somewhat thinner, thinner is better, when wearing my general purpose eyeglasses I have to tilt them somewhat to reduce discomfort. -Upgradability They do not appear to be upgradable at all, no firmware updates, etc Overall opinion. I like them but be careful with them, if you start seeing cracks grab yourself some JB Weld and slather it on (and if you are better than me then file/sand it down so it looks good) to reinforce the cracked areas before the cracks become problems.

Right side stopped working
I used this product for about 2 months, but it was until today that the right side of the headset decided to just siginificantly decrease in volume and slowly give out throughout the week. The longevity of the item is terrible, and would love to return it though it is passed the "return window". Terrible product!

1 Year Shelf Life
After 16 months of use (and just outside of warranty) these have failed me. They still hold the battery and charge just fine but the left ear when in noise cancelling mode, or pass through, will begin to make horrifically loud static screeching sounds. Totally unbearable and hurts my ear. The headphones will work correctly with noise canceling is disabled, but I purchased these for noise canceling, and wasn't looking for just a Bluetooth headset. I love most of my monoprice products but with failure happening just after a year and nothing they would do about it, I wish I opted for a name brand pair.

Good Sound; Delicate Plastic
I like the way these headphones sound - smooth detail, slightly warm and good stereo imaging. They are also very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. My only complaint is that the plastic covering on the yokes started to crack after about 1 year of use - and they were not subjected to rough handling. I patched the cracks with super glue and continue to use these headphones at the office - they do a decent job of cancelling office noise.

Monoprice 600 head set
Haven't had them for a veery long time but so far seem to be good quality and are doing what they were advertised to do. Price was good, compared to some other big names. Time will tell as my older Monoprice headset isn't holding up to use as well as I had hoped. But still working, just showing some wear on the ear pads.

decent headphones, earmuff covers falling apart after 2 years of infrequent use
I only use these infrequently at the office when I need to get some focus time in. After 2 years the material that covers the foam on the earmuffs is splitting at the seam.

If you don't pick these your paying too much
These are the best! I bought these to use on a recent trip half way around the world and back and can't rave enough about how well they worked. Everywhere in a planes cabin you're going to feel and hear the engines drone. These can't cancel the vibration but these do cancel the drone w/ the ANC on and i used it for an entire 16 hour flight. They connect to all my devices by Bluetooth or can attach with a cable necessary. If your comparing them to the big name B0se save the $$$ and buy these!

Frame cracks (in multiple locations) - PASS ON THESE
My daughter loves them, but they're her first wireless over the ear headphones. She's highly annoyed that they began cracking after only 1 month of usage. She's not rough on them. She's a princess and very guarded over her possessions. Monoprice replaced the cracking pair for us with new ones. We immediately applied Sugru (moldable shapeable clay-like glue) to the new pair - hoping to prevent the cracking as we'd seen other people on here complaining about it. Guess what? It prevented cracking for about 3 months. Now they're cracking regardless. This is the crappiest plastic housing I've seen on a product ever. I bought a pair of noise cancelling BOSE headphones from my local costco for $99. (or were they $79?) Anyway, they're smaller in profile and they sound WAAAAAY better. Also, bonus, the plastic doesn't crack. Send these garbage things back to Shenzen where you made them and start over on the drawing board. Durability needs to be a top element. When her current pair cracks beyond usage, we'll replace these with a 2nd set of Bose.

Excellent at a price point that doesn't break the bank
Solid, easy to transport (and use), and comfortable. The ANC is good -- seems somewhat frequency dependent (cancels low frequency hums and some voices better than other sounds). Definitely glad I bought these, and would look here first in the future, as there's really nothing comparable (that I could find) at this price point!

So Close to Being Great
These headphones were so close to being great, it just needs more durable material, besides the plastic its coated with. Everything about the headphones are great, beautiful sound, great bass, great cushion, cool features, easy to use, and battery life is a winner, etc. Only problem is plastic that is surrounding the headphones, its sounds so brittle, at any moment it could just **SNAP**. Every time I adjust the position of the headphones, the plastic creaks. Overall 3 stars. The plastic is the only downfall. I'll definitely put another 20 for waterproof headphones and durable material which are the only things missing.

headphone review
Headphones are comfortable to wear. Just wearing the phones cuts out a lot of ambient noise. Noise cancelling worked very good on a recent airline flight. Watched a football game with cancelling on. Couldn't tell I was on a large aircraft. Cannot comment on music s I usually don't use headphones to listen to music. I had no issues with battery life. Haven't used the phone call mode but did have a call come in. Had to dig out the book to see what it was. My bad. Would I buy again? YES!

BAD DESIGN for Volume Control cuz is impossible to use.
The sound quality is excellent and is better than my $100 Sony in terms of comparing noise reduction and audio quality. For those reasons, these are a winner by far, but the wonky stupid tap/swipe controls are total FAIL !! Only good to easily answer an incoming phone call but cannot effectively control volume without disconnecting calls or moving to wrong song. DUMB DUMB design cuz it IS working as intended but no amount of practice makes this design useful to real humans. UGH. UGH. But still love em and would buy em again for using on the airplane. As long as your phone is nearby to control things, these are super great !

Great for office environments and conferencing
These have been great for use in the office to have paired to my cell phone and computer. The hardest thing are the controls, they can be difficult using the swipe. The is the most frustrating part. I usually just control it via my phone or computer audio settings. The ANC is decent but nothing to write home about when there are similar one with better ANC. I really appreciate the transparency mode though and wish that was available on more devices.

sounds okay, but weak plastic cracked within a month
The sound of these is good enough but the headphones cracked in the same spot on both sides after a month of use, not dropping. You can see it is a stress fracture from putting th phones on and off daily. Was hoping to get longer use out of these.

Bought to listen to my Samsung TV but doesn't have Bluetooth. Went to Best Buy and bought a Bluetooth adapter. The TV has optical out so plugged that into the adapter and head phone says it's connected but no TV audio comes out. Tried an older blue tooth head set and it works every time. Sent two different emails to monoprice tech support it still haven't heard anything. The headset works great with my phones Bluetooth but not TV.
