Mantels Direct Colton 72" Floating Wood Fireplace Mantel Shelf - Chocolate

Mantle is cracked. Shipment was within 2 days which was great but now have to return the mantle for another one.

The mantel is beautiful and will be perfect for the way we are designing our fireplace. I am so thankful for the reasonable price and prompt shipping. Would highly recommend using them.

Love the simple, traditional style that doesn’t overwhelm the hearth and that it comes in many stain options.

This Manuel is just perfect in my living room over the fireplace. Color, construction, shape and installation were all as advertised and it’s even more beautiful in person!

Fast shipping and mantle was as described, happy with purchase

Wish my contractor had said something earlier. Just spoke with him. I wanted it stained an espresso color. He’s having trouble finding one that will work. Actually doesn’t think any stain will turn out one solid color as the matel is made out of 2 different types of wood & is of poor quality. You get what you pay for. The area to be finished also has a lot of glue from your construction process that needs to be sanded off to take stain. We’re just going to paint it black. Should have returned.

Hanging hardware not included. This was buried on their website, and not immediately available. The mantel itself would have been nice to hang -- but having to purchase the appropriate hardware to hang it, would have been expensive!!

There was a large, awkward gap between the mantle and the wall. It rocked and there’s no way I could’ve put anything on top with confidence. The wood piece anchored to the wall was being stressed to bear the weight. Without the mantle sitting flush to the wall, the stress remained on a thinner, arched part of the mounting piece. This issue was partially by design, & partially because the wall was not completely level. Any house is going to have a bit of imperfections once it settles. You’d be hard-pressed to find 72” of completely flat surface on the wall you’d like to mount this. HAD to return. There was no way to make it work.
