I recently purchased this Bar Stools, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way! The chairs are comfortable but took a very long time to assemble. The instruction papers that come with the package do not work. You have to have a handyman mindset.

The measurement in the picture for the seat height reads 25". It is not - it's 23". I now have to return these chairs, or cut my table down by 2". The quality is decent and they're comfortable, but they are NOT as advertised. Also, the legs are BROWN, not black. I searched for days looking for the right chairs, only to pick these and find out the seating height is wrong and the legs are brown. I guess I'll be cutting my table...

I wanted to like these. The price was right and the look fits in with our counter height kitchen table. However...two legs split when attaching them. This happened while using the little 2.5" allen key to tighten the bolts so it's not really even possible to honk down on it and make it "impact wrench" tight. So I had to remove those legs, glue them up and clamp them and put it back together again the next day while gingerly tightening the bolts. Thank goodness I had the tools and know-how to fix the split wood in those chair legs. Minor setback for me, but might be a supreme hassle for your typical apartment dweller without tools and clamps. Also, the boxes arrived without any instructions. It wasn't that difficult to figure out, but instructions would have been nice instead of trial and error to figure out where the various sizes of bolts belonged. Once together, they look presentable and the faux patent leather looks like it will be easy to keep clean with a wet towel. I don't think I'd buy these again.

It took me about an hour and half by myself to put my 2 chairs together. I absolutely love the colors, they match perfectly with my kitchen. The directions were slightly confusing at first, but I quickly figured out what was supposed to go where.

The instructions had the wrong part on step one. I was confused on how a certain part was supposed to be there, but I jumped to the last step and it confirmed for me that step 1 was incorrect! Also some of the holes in the wood did not align correctly . Maybe I got a wrong batch, but it sucked putting these chairs together!

Now I am not sure these chairs will stand up to regular use. It's way too much trouble to disassemble the chair and send 1 back so I will just replace the set with some that are higher quality.

Easy to assemble if you read the instructions

These chairs are HORRIBLE and make Ikea furniture seem like a breeze to put together. First, there are so many pieces that you should budget hours to put this thing together. It doesn't help that the instructions have multiple errors that mislabel certain pieces. Once I -- and by I, I actually mean two of us since there is no way one person could hold the back in place while screwing the bolts in -- finally got chair 1 together after hours, I noticed that it was uneven and wobbled back and forth. That's because the bottom of EVERY leg is cut differently. Some are angled to the back, some are angled to the front, some have uneven lines. It's insane. Then I sat on it and it is so uncomfortable! I hated the feeling. I thought maybe I'll get use to it. I didn't think things could get worse, but then I got to assembling chair 2. You would think it would be easier given I just put another chair together, but that was not the case. I tried putting in the back bolts in 20 different ways and couldn't get them to fit. I finally stuck a flashlight down the hole and realized the holes for the bolts don't line up with the openings so not all the bolts will fit. What's more is that since things don't line up properly, you can see staples that are not supposed to be visible when you're done. I tried exchanging these (I know, I'm asking for a pain) but the Target website says they're sold out, so I guess I'll just return them. I'll definitely be avoiding Costway furniture in the future.

These chair legs came in horrible condition. The legs were scratched up, legs were nicked. They also wouldn’t sit flush with the floor. I couldn’t figure out why but after I flipped the chair over I seen the legs weren’t evenly crafted. One leg is slopped at an angle and the other is flat. This make the chair wobble back and forth. I’ve assembled 4 out of the 6 chairs I purchased and they all have the same issue. This is very frustrating. I expected to receive something that was higher quality after spending a little over $700 on chairs.

Although I like these, they were a little hard to put together. I had just returned a different set to another company because they were too high, but they were super easy to put together. These for some reason were more involved and difficult to maneuver around to screw it together. On one seat while putting together, the backside of the leather bunched up and I had to forcibly push it down between the back and the seat cushion so it didn't look wrinkled. Other than that, I do like them and they are comfortable, perfect height for my counter height island and I like that the back height which is perfect height for resting your arm if you sat sideways on the stool. I also added felt pads to the bottom of the legs.

It's nice to siton, very comfortable, and the express delivery is also fast, it matches the style of home, the stool is easy to install.

Easy install. I did all 4 chairs by myself. However they are somewhat wobbly. They look nice with our table.

The stools were easy to assemble for my sons and still look great months later

The instruction booklet had such terrible instruction with microscopic pictures. I literally had to use a magnifying glass to get some sense from it. The bottom and side supports (the horizontal bars) simply dont screw in properly. There is a lot of strength is needed to screw in the screw and there was no pilot hole and it just did not lock in to the legs properly at all.

It's a horrible set to put together. I would not suggest buying if you don't have patience. The seats aren't all that comfortable. It'll do until I am ready to get what I really want.

I own a small restaurant, and these chairs are perfect for my high bar by the window. They look good.
