Easy to assemble and sturdy

Considering what basic end tables sell for, this was a great deal. it was easy to put together and would go in probably almost any room as an extra end table. The design allows me to put the blankets under it for easy access if needed while using the couch to watch TV etc.

This was a bit different from the images I expected it to look more sturdy and thicker. There is also no silver rim around the bottom of each of the poles like in the picture.

I received this table today, assembled it and put it in my study. Nice and sturdy, had a nice black veneer with simulated wood grain and a slight glossy finish that should be easily cleaned.I'm posting this reveiw immediately because it was a very interesting process assembling it. Should yours be exactly like mine and you're not a little mechanically inclined, you may have trouble assembling it.1. The instructions are strictly the "picture" type with no explanations. Parts are clearly labeled with stickers, so not too much trouble identifying each piece and the hardware. Pictures are rather small though. If you've ever assembled something from IKEA, you should be able to handle this.2. HERE'S WHERE IT GOT INTERESTING - you may not understand this unless you have the table and instructions in front of you, but be aware:Shelf #3 (the middle shelf), where there is an attachment point for the metal support tube #5, had a partially drilled hole with a threaded metal insert identical to the one on the top shelf #1. THIS CANNOT WORK AS THAT SHELF #3 REQUIRES THE HOLE BE DRILLED THROUGH ENTIRELY IN ORDER TO USE THE INDICATED ATTACHMENT BOLT #C.I looked at this every which way and double checked that I was using the correct parts. Having done so, I decided I needed to remove the threaded insert on Shelf #3 (easily done with a metric hex key - I think it was a 5mm). I then chose a drill bit that was equal in diameter to the #C bolt and slowly (so as not to damage the finish) drill entirely through the hole in Shelf #3. Look at Shelf #4 (the bottom shelf) where the bolt #C goes through from the bottom to attach the metal support post #5. Once I had that done, the upper support post #5 was easily attached to the top Shelf #1 by inserting a Bolt #C from underneath Shelf #3.I've attached an image of the instruction sheet to help explain this problem. The instructions were not so clear but the quality is good once you figure out how to put this retro table together.

Purchased two of these about a month apart first was plain white gloss the second came with a wood grain patttern.

Please don't make a beeline for the negative reviews prior to purchasing. I did; it nearly put me off but I'm glad it didn't.It is robust (if you put it together correctly); It does not 'snap' (as long as you do not lift it up by the unsupported end!) and it doesn't have a screw hole on the top face panel (as one photo shows) (assuming that you put it together correctly (that particular panel on the purchaser's photograph was upside down; hardly the fault of the product!!)It took a screwdriver and twenty minutes to put together and it looks great under the TV in our Snug.My Better Half likes it, which is the overarching concern here because happy wife = happy life!Buy it; it's absolutely fine.

It was paired with a black and white coffee table however the finish on the end table is different. I would have preferred if the finish was the same. It is also much bigger than I expected.

The instructions that came with it made absolutely no sense. I ended up and scrapping them and using my own judgement. It took me a minute but I eventually got it together. It's not the most sturdy but I knew for no more than I would ever have on it that it would be fine. If you are like me and want it more for the look and not so much for alot of storage, I would highly recommend it

I absolutely love this table. Want another white one and they are out of stock. Real bummer.
