  • A: Are they real spicy or on a scale from 1-10 what would the spicy hot level be. 1 is very mild and 10 will burn your pants off

  • A: They don't have dill in them so they don't taste like dill pickles. Sour because fermented=acid=sour but with the gochugaru pepper powder added to the brine, shredded carrots and green onions. They're not nearly as spicy as kimchi as kimchi is made with a strong gochugaru paste and this is a thin brine.

Q: Does this have probiotics and, if so, what kind?

  • A: Yes, but the package says they are only "lightly fermented". The normal probiotics in pickles AND kimchi are Lactobacillus plantarum, Leuconostoc mesenteroides, Weissella, and Pediococcus. They continue to slowly ferment in the fridge.

This review is not on the taste of these pickles because I never got a chance to eat them, but about the quality. These pickles were a pickup and they were open and expired. Today is 4/10/26 and they expired 3/11/26. The top has mold on it as well. Not happy with this purchase at all.

Delivious But a Little Inconsistent

Delicious BUT — I have bought more than one container of these. They’re absolutely fabulous and addicting. But the level of spice really varies, so it’s hard to tell what you’re going to get. The second container I bought was soooo spicy (in a good way!) but the second had juice that wasn’t nearly as red and it was more tangy like regular dill. So, I’ll continue to buy these but would like to see more consistency with the kimchi spice.

Crispy and tasty, they fill the cucumber kimchi craving better than standard grocery pickles. Might be better if persian cucumbers were used, and if I had served thrse drained. Still more convenient thsn going to a Korean restaurant. Would happily buy again

Tasty!

YUm!!!! My new craving! They aren’t even remotely blow your head off spicy which my pathetic stomach can’t handle right now but it’s all flavor and crunch and umami and fermentation my taste buds and stomach need!

These are really great and I've purchased them several times now. I definitely wouldn't say they are quite as pungent or flavorful as actual kimchi but they do have a nice flavor. I usually eat them as part of charcuterie but have also put them on BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and that is phenomenal.

everything in me wants to love kimchi, but it’s just too spicy for me. granted, i can handle mild jalepenos and that is about where i tap out lol. the flavor of the pickles are sweet and it’s all very yummy - just would recommend you buy if you have a good tolerance for heat.
