Soft lap blanket
Not preshrunk cotton cable knit. Tag states, "do not tumble dry, spot clean only". So I machine washed it in hot water, and machine dried it on highest heat until completely dry. After four such laundry cycles it shrunk about 10" in length and also shrunk about 6" in width because that's what knit cottons do. There was a little bit of lint at first, but that went away after the fourth wash. Feels soft and cozy. I cut off the eight pom-poms sew onto the gold stripes. I may take a seam ripper to the fringe strips sewn on with standard thread too. No need for them. I wanted a 100% cotton lap blanket that wasn't linty, and that's what this is. It's not too thin and lightweight, not too heavy. It's just right. Glad it was on sale.
