    Changed the recipe

    This used to be “hot and spicy” and the recipe was a little different. The sweet and spicy is not nearly as good :(

    The Design of the Cap is Horrible!

    I just got a second bottle of The Original Japanese Barbecue Sauce today. My son loves the sauce. But the cap was broken so easily. Would you please consider to redesign the cap?

    Best flavor

    Best flavor. Sweet spicy. Not too much of the soy sauce taste. I usually brush the sauce over chicken in the airfryer. I’ve done a simple mix with gochujang over fried chicken is also very good. I highly recommend this flavor over the original and the extra spicy.

    the pineapple flavor. This one is more “salty and subtly spicy” than “sweet and spicy”. I’ll get the pineapple again next time. I wish they made a mandarin orange, duck or sweet and sour flavor sauce

    Loved in Scotland too

    My teenage niece in Scotland loved this sauce when the family visited me in San Francisco. Now I have to bring some back to Scotland every time I go back. Needless to say my luggage is very heavy.

    Didn't like it

    I tried Bachan’s original flavor and like it, so I decided to give a try since I love spicy foods, but this was a definite no for me. From the stellar reviews, I was really excited and hoping I would like it, but nope. I even tried it a a couple more times on separate occasions, hoping that I might warm up to it, but again…nope. I can’t describe the taste, except that it didn’t taste good at all. Threw it in the trash.

    3 generations of our family are now completely hooked on the hot and spicy BBQ sauce. I use it on Korean short ribs and boneless skinless chicken thighs. Yum!

    Incredible original sauce

    This sauce is incredibly delicious and I love the organic ingredients except the added cane sugar. I would've given 4.5 stars but that option isn’t available. If you replace the sugar with maple syrup or honey it would be incredibly awesome and move to 5 stars for us!
