Q: Is this similar to eel sauce that is used on sushi rolls?
submitted by SuBee - 2 years ago
A: It's very similar! A tad more watery but delish and very similar flavor.

Q: Hi, is this sauce spicy at all? It sounds delicious and I'd like to give it a try, but I don't want anything spicy. Thank you!

Taste but pricey
My daughter is obsessed with this sauce on her broccoli, it’s delicious. I just wish it wasn’t almost $10!

One of my favorite finds
Love this stuff! We use it for salmon, rice, and other dishes. Pretty much anything you'd use a teryaki or soy sauce for, you can replace it with this and it will elevate the flavor.

Well-Balanced Flavor
This sauce has a well-balanced flavor. It is not too sweet, and not too salty. Its unique spices come through on meat and vegetables.

The best
Love it so much, this sauce is a staple in my household, BUT could you guys *please* fix the lid design? There is always a brown ring in my fridge from the sauce that leaks out from the top. It is so annoying and according to Reddit, I'm not the only one with this issue.

Loved in Scotland too
My teenage niece in Scotland loved this sauce when the family visited me in San Francisco. Now I have to bring some back to Scotland every time I go back. Needless to say my luggage is very heavy.

Amazing on wings!
I bought the sweet and spicy sauce on a whim as I passed by the aisle and thought it looked good. I’m so glad I did. The next day I put it on my wings for lunch and it was phenomenal. I for sure will be trying all the sauces.

I hated it, then I loved it.
I expected to love this sauce, but its flavor seemed too overpowring. I was thinking about a sauce you would slather meat in, like an American BBQ sauce. So I was using too much. When I used less of it, it was delicious! So for noobs, this sauce has a strong flavor and you don't need as much of it as you think.

Glad I found this sauce!
I'm really picky about my Asian cuisine and I've really struggled to find sauces that can stand up to authentic restaurant quality; until now! Bachan's is my "go to" and my whole family loves it! Thanks for sharing your family recipe!

Great sauce, new lid please
Love the sauce. Excellent. Delicious. Fantastic. Great for dipping or marinade. Please design a lid / cap that doesn’t break 100% of the time.

Why does it always leak
The sauce is good and I continue to buy it because apparently I enjoy constantly cleaning the sticky liquid out of my fridge and off of other things.

CAP HACK
Love this product but hate the cap!!!! It dribbles a lot no matter what - and while itʻs not the end of the world and there are man solutions to ditching the cap altogether, one thing that helps: instead of removing the paper disc that covers the large opening, poke a small hole in the middle of the paper disc to control the flow into the cap. Not perfect, but way less dribbling of sticky this way! I just emailed the company to share this info. and thought Iʻd post here too FWIW
