These shelves are so sturdy! Way sturdier than any other piece of press-board furniture I've ever owned. Putting it together was relatively simple and I was able to do it solo. I saw some of the negative reviews saying the wood broke as they put it together. This can easily be avoided by following the instructions to adjust the connector/cam locks when you meet resistance and by not screwing in too much. The biggest annoyance was how many of the connectors I needed to adjust, about 2/3 were in the correct position but the rest needed adjustment. Overall, I'd definitely recommend these, especially if you own a lot of big/heavy books.

It’s sturdy but some holes don’t line up causing shelf to break when screwed. Exchanging would be a hassle considering it’s 60+ pounds & I’ve already built it more than halfway

Sturdy and good value, simple clean aesthetic. Holds a lot of items and is not flimsy at all. Definitely a two person job in assembly, and all of the bolts use an Allen wrench, the one provided would take forever to use, my screwdriver with the appropriate attachment worked much easier. Only one bolt out of the entire unit was really stubborn and never went in quite right...but all others (and there are several) had no issues.

I previously purchased this shelf several years ago and loved it so I spent over an hour looking for it again online…unfortunately this time the shelves were not as high of quality before. Many of the shelves cracked when putting the screws in I already have the shelf built so I’m trying to find ways to cover up the problem areas however it’s frustrating considering the price of this shelf.

The cheap design of the assembly is really frustrating. As other people have mentioned, the bolts/screws screw-in badly and don't line-up properly. The boards get wonky and end up cracking if you try to screw them in. I have some screws sticking out and they crack if I try to force it. The cheap price is not worth the even cheaper quality. And $170 is not even that cheap!! I'm immensely disappointed in this and regret not reading some of the reviews before buying. Beware!!!

Good quality, sturdy and tall. Took me about 2 hours to put together by myself. I was able to get everything lined up except 1 shelve. There is a little challenge with the shelves that have the brackets but overall a great buy.

Feels sturdy but it’s absolute cheap garbage. Was screwing together and there was no grip in the screw to inside of the shelf board. Then it started buckling pictures included. When I called customer service thinking I could maybe get a new part no, they told me to return it. Then they offered me 10% off …….that was laughable. I will be returning if I can get it back in my car.

Beautiful walnut shelves. I had no issues with assembly, and built it by myself. The key to getting the shelves to align is to not tighten anything until everything is put together. I built it laying on the floor, and was able to adjust things as needed. Would have been much easier with 2 people. I bought it in-store.

The barrel nuts that you screw into for the shelves move or are not lined up. I kept trying to keep them straight but one completely unlodged and we cannot get the screw out and it cracked the particle board. We had to cut the screw out to get the shelf out. So, we now have a useless shelf with an empty space.
