A HAIRY STORY, my journey to Nioxin, how I fell in love with this product after my first use. My rating of this product is 5/5. Hair care has always been very important and top priority and my hygiene regimen. Ever since I was born to teenage life, my father had always had to cut my hair short so it would be easy to maintain (hygiene purposes). Since 2011, I fell in love with this product after the first time I used it. WOW! It was the more product and cheaper ($ per oz.) compared to my previous favorite hair product. I had seen this Nioxin product before at my husband’s favorite hair salons, I never tried it because I thought it might be too expensive. I was amazed after just after my first use!!! The smell was great, it had a minty, herbal smell. It left my scalp felling very clean and fresh, and no itchiness after using it. My hair was silky and shiny all day long. I searched for it on-line shopping sites and bought the starter’s kit ( 3 bottle pack), which included the 12 fl oz. shampoo and conditioner, and the post-shower, leave-in hair regrowth solution. After my started kit, I only order the large 33 oz. bottle shampoo and conditioner set, which was very affordable and last me about 3 months. After 2 years, my bald spot had nearly completely disappeared and was no longer visible. Then in 2019, my husband had started his hair thinning journey. I suggested he try Nioxin and he did. His reaction was “ Wow! this product is amazing!... Why haven’t you told me this sooner? I was about to go insane.” I am attaching some before and after photos as proof that this product really works... my hair & scalp is now fuller. Occasionally, I will use other products, if I forget to pack it while I am traveling or when I forget to order and my re-order (usually two sets at a time) shipments has not arrived, but I definitely noticed the difference of the other products vs this product. I’ve tried all three... from Systems #1 and #2, and #3. I highly recommend this hair product to anyone with hair issues like me and to those who don’t having any hair issues because Nioxin has a variety of formulas to fit everyone’s hair needs.

Pictures lie. Make sure your read the fluid oz. Got this box, opened it up, and honestly laughed. These bottles are COMICALLY small. They're like cute little travel-sized versions of the shampoo and conditioner you actually wanted. They're parody sized. This stuff isn't THAT effective to charge THAT much for THAT little. Good for a chuckle at your own expense, but these aren't real products for your shower. They'll get lost in there. (Contact lens case down in photo for scale.)

It took a bit to get used to, however. I got a headache after applying the serum, so for people with a sensitive scalp or are migraine prone, I’d suggest taking baby steps. I’ve used the serum religiously but as for the trio, I used it twice weekly. So the effects may be a little delayed because of that.

The products go far as you only need a small amount and I feel my hair is in much better condition since using it. My hair does seem fuller but is maybe a bit fluffier due to being so soft. All in all happy using this product and would recommend.

I haven’t seen any significant change in hair growth or thickness but it’s an effective cleansing shampoo. You probably need to use a few more packages to see this. The package supports the flow of the product.

Bottle sizes are good, scalp & hair treatment comes in a handy to use pump bottle and it smells minty fresh. As for the effectiveness of making my hair thicker, I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference but perhaps it’s just too soon to say. Unfortunately as the products contain parabens which I tend to avoid where possible, I won’t continue using this product.

They smell very minty and remind me of a lip-plumping lip gloss, as they contain mint and peppermint. The products also contain caffeine and niacinamide and claim to make hair thicker and fuller. My scalp and hair feel nice and nourished after the wash, the mint is also very refreshing, but I can't tell the difference to my hair fullness yet, I suppose it would take a much longer time to notice the results.
