Motor is defective and doesn't work. Bought a few months ago and installed and it only worked for 3 months

This is a beautiful looking fan but so disappointed that the blades are flimsy plastic. Expected much better quality. Would have returned it but electrician already had it up when we returned from out trip.

The fan is gorgeous. Beautiful. Gold isn't too shiny gold, which matched perfect with the rest of our home. The light is LED and matched our other recessed lights. The light also dims. Our fan did a few short startups the first few times we started it up but it went away. It turned on, then seemed like it turned off, then back on and worked fine. Beware install took us 3 hours because instructions are vague. When we first hung the fan, it was crooked coming out of the plate at the top. We spent hours trying to fix it only to realize at the end when we rigged it that the plate cover was thrown in the box. It's listed NOWHERE on the instructions. It looks like an extra large gold washer. Other than my husband cursing this fan the entire time. We love the look. It's heavy and needs 2 people to lift. Also - save a headache and buy a small curved screw driver if you do the shorter pole. Their small screwdriver is still too long. We have 10 ft ceilings and hung it on the shorter length. My husband also mentioned the wires were pesky to strip down so give yourself some extra inches

In March of 2021 I purchased 5 Possini Defender Fans (3-70' and 2-60") for my newly built home. Love the styling and look of these fans! However, within the first year of operation, they have slowly started to fail one by one. First one failed after two months of operation! The fan will be running with no issues and then randomly shutter and slow down and make a grinding noise like it is fighting itself to go forward and reverse all at once. After about 30 seconds of trying it just stops, and every time you try and select a speed it does the same and becomes useless. Lamps Plus was very quick to send out an entire motor assembly and I just replaced the driver to see if that was the problem and it was. Well over the course of the next 12 months slowly but surely the same issue happened to EVERY fan. Driver (Receiving unit that tells the fan what to do based on your remote input) would fail, and render the fan useless. Here I am 15 months after spending $3000 on fans with two non-working fans and nothing to replace them with, and 3 other fans that are bound to fail here shortly. Lamps Plus has done everything they can to help but honestly, they just need to stop carrying this product. it is trash in my opinion. I work in the trades if that's worth anything, I am not just some home owner trying to complain. I have done everything in my power to try and fix them but it is out of my hands. I JUST WANT WORKING CEILING FANS!
