Weird packaging, terrible flavor
I've liked other options from this brand, but this rice was not good. It does look very gross in it's original packaging (the entire rice meal is shrink-wrapped into a slimy brown blob and does look like those fresh pet foods), but fluffs up once removed. The flavor is really not good, though. Everything tastes exactly the same (you can't taste the corn or peas even if you eat them separately), and the flavor is both bland and unappetizing. It also smells weird/bad. Not one I'd recommend or eat again.

Not sure why this product is getting a bad review - this rice is delicious! Looks just like picture as well. Perhaps I should let folks believe the other reviews because then it will stay in stock! Try it for yourself - I think you will be pleasantly surprised! I hope Target continues to stock because this is a product that is difficult to find.

It does not look like the picture on the package. Has a bit of a sour taste. I like ginger, but too much ginger. Sadly I know a different gluten free brand that tastes very good, but they don't sell it anywhere near me.

I agree with others in that this is quite bland on its own, which is a stark contrast from Kevin's other products. However, it's still a great base for fast and healthy meal prep! Cook a bag of Target's frozen Asian vegetable blend and mix it in with the rice. Top it with some tofu, potstickers or your favorite protein of choice. A drizzle of gochujang or chili crisp makes it quite delicious and flavorful!

it is a bit bland but with a house full of allergies it's great fast base to start with. I completely understand why some people are saying the texture was bad, if you ate it straight from the microwave it would probably be a bit soupy. I heated it up in the microwave, per the instructions, I cut a slit in the bag rather than poking a hole, which I think let more moisture out than some people have had. and then put it in a skillet, with unsalted butter, and added grilled chicken that I had frozen and heated the whole thing up with just a bit of low sodium soy sauce until the rice texture was better. Tasted delicious! The whole thing from start to finish took about 9min.
