Never had Peri peri before, but I am the biggest fan of black garlic, and this sauce nails it! I would love more heat (mild for someone that eats jalapeños for nearly every meal), but the flavor is addictive. You'll put it on everything!

Along with Los Calientes, this is my other favorite of the sauces I've tried so far. This is slightly sweet and makes a great steak sauce. This coupled with a little chimichurri and you're doing alright!

The ingredient list on the bottle does *not* match the website. I ordered this based on the ingredient listing which has black garlic as the #1 ingredient. Wrong! It's about #7 on the list. It's also way too sweet, which I'd have known if I had seen brown sugar as the 2nd ingredient on the bottle. The flavor is fine but listing ingredients out of order is shady at best, fraudulent at worst.

This sauce tastes great, with the sweet and savory notes of the black garlic and ginger dominating the flavor. But 5/10 heat? Not even close, more like 2/10. The watery consistency makes it usable only as a dip or in soups, as it doesn't have the viscosity to stick to anything. I found it works great in ramen, but because the sauce is so mild, I end up using so much of it to get any heat that the black garlic overpowers any other flavor in the soup. It would be better if it were either hotter or had a thicker consistency.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this hot sauce. Is a *little on the sweet side yet it doesn’t let up on the heat nor the flavor. The garlic really shines through. I’ve been using it as a salad dressing. I thinly slice some fresh kale, add sliced Serrano, fresh basil, fresh dill, pumpkin seeds, macadamias, pistachios, hemp seeds, chia seeds, a homemade curry spice blend, olive oil, chopped garlic, salt, lime juice and about 1/5 a bottle of this hot sauce. For protein I may throw in some sardines or tuna or tofu. Put it all in a container to marinate overnight and it’s a delicious, flavorful, and spicy lunch.

This is a great sauce, it's very thin and the heat definitely doesn't match the 4 of 5 peppers on the label. It's fairly mild. The flavor profile on the listing is completely wrong. Even though it has garlic in the name the garlic flavor is not pronounced because it's black garlic. It's salt taste is low sweetness is medium if not high.

Black Garlic n Peri Peri sauce is a pretty mild end of the spectrum. It has a good garlic flavor, and goes well with wings or pork loin. It's not recommended for things like tacos. Could also work well in some Chinese dishes and stir fry. It's a thin sauce, like soy sauce or vinegar. For me I like the thicker sauces as I find them more versatile, but this is still a good one to have in the arsenal. I don't find the "Peri Peri" term to be really applicable to this sauce.
