great design, poor quality

i loved the look of these tables, but when they arrived and i assembled one, it was not what i expected. the gold paint was rubbing off on my hands during assembly and after putting together all the pieces, the table did not seem sturdy. the glass top is not clear glass, it has a white background, which i was not expecting. unfortunately these are going back to the store.
