Q: Do you need to connect a cord to your tv to use this or can you connect wirelessly to your tv? I don’t want to waste money buying it if I have to use cords for it to connect to the tv. My current Samsung sound bar connect to my tv wirelessly thru WiFi

  • A: Yes, the Smart Soundbar should be connected to your TV via HDMI-eARC (i.e. HDMI cable), or via optical cable. This is to enable you to enjoy the high-quality Dolby Atmos sound. The soundbar can be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth (not Wi-Fi) to your TV if your TV matches the soundbar's Bluetooth specs, however this is not the intended setup, and you wouldn't hear Dolby Atmos surround sound this way.

    Excellent soundbar. I have a small/medium sized living room and a soundbar is really the only option to go because of the awkward shape of it. This soundbar is very punchy and far superior than the TV speakers. We can now actually hear what people are saying. I've had Spotify (running from the TV) coming out of it too and the sound is amazing for that too. Still playing around with the settings from the app and haven't found that sweet spot yet but it's fun messing around with the settings. That said, you don't need to mess with them because the sound is brilliant with default settings. We are now looking to replace our Beats speaker and Bose is now on our radar. We have it sat under the TV. Money well spent.

    I got this around a month ago and I have had nothing but issues with the app and the soundbar not turning on with the tv and sometimes not turning on at all with the power button on the top nor the app or remote Zero point having an app if 90 percent of the time it does not work and to get it working you have to re install the app. Even on sale it’s not worth it. Last bose product I buy not sure what happened to your standards Bose but they are long gone

The dialogues are crisp and crystal clear which i needed badly. Previously I couldn’t be able to hear the dialogues that much clear and I used to depend on captions. Now I don’t need. The listening music is great with Bose particularly Indian classical music. This I purchased to take it to India where I can enjoy music and movies in atmos .you can adjust the music as per your taste from Bose app. Thank you Bose for the excellent technology in a small bar.

The soundbar keeps disconnecting from my Sony Bravia tv no matter which CEC option is selected. This happens 10-20 times a day. Will not purchase Bose products in the future. Too bad because the sound is quite impressive when soundbar works.
