Tastes meh but good for the tummy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate that Yo Mama’s Sensitive Marinara is made with simple ingredients and is designed for people with sensitivities. The consistency is smooth and it’s easy to heat and use for quick meals. It didn’t cause any stomach issues for me, which I value. That said, the flavor is pretty mild and honestly not very exciting — it doesn’t have the richness or depth I usually expect from marinara sauce. It’s functional and gentle, but I would likely need to add my own seasonings to improve the taste. Lots of quantity as well.

My son has been stuck on another name brand pasta sauce, when we ran out I swapped this one in instead and he ate his whole bowl! This is garlic free so its not as strong as other sauces. The thickness is a good balance of covering all the noodles but doesn't settle at the bottom of of the bowl.

Fresh Sensitive Marinara Sauce
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delicious, fresh flavor and ingredients! Smells delicious and tastes delicious too.! Has a nice aroma while cooking, flavors blend well and are very non acidic. Easy on a sensitive tummy. Compliments any dish that needs a smooth tomato sauce.. Fresh clean ingredients, vegan, gluten free and no sugar added. Very nice addition to the dinner plate.

Fresh and flavorful sauce

The sauce was not as runny as I expected from past experiences with jarred marinara. It was flavorful and smelled fresh. I would like to try it again on a home-made pizza.

Homemade pizza

I did not taste the difference between this and the regular sauce which has more sugar and it made with ingredients that I don’t agree with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yo Mama’s Tomato Sauce (Sensitive version) was okay, nothing over the top. It’s very tomato-forward, so if you don’t love that strong tomato taste, it might be a bit much. Since it has no onions or garlic, the flavor is pretty basic but clean. The ingredients are simple, tomatoes, black pepper, oregano, and that’s about it, great for anyone with sensitivities. I jazzed it up with beef and sausage for pasta, and it turned out delicious once I added my own seasonings. It was also extremely well packaged, they used a good-sized box with plenty of packing material and cardboard inside, which I really appreciated.

Needs some “Oomph”

We found it to be pretty bland overall and could benefit from some additional herbs and salt right out of the jar. The texture and mouthfeel were fine but it just lacked “oomph”

The wow factor on all!

The taste was a lot better than I thought and the value of the product surprised me. The packaging is so appealing for such a simple package.
