NASTIEST BAO EVER
This bao is the embodiment of disgust and disappointment! I wish I could leave no stars it tastes like a mix of Indian food and a terrible taco meat nothing like was expected, took a bite and spit it out and threw the rest away! I don't usually have to spit things out but I couldn't physically make myself swallow it, do yourself a favor and save your time and money! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Cheap ingredients, bad taste and texture
I bought a couple boxes of these because they were on sale and wanted to give them a try. The filling is awful. Its a tiny compact ball of cheap meat. It tastes like taco bell meat with some spices added. A bao bun is not supposed to have dry filling. Please stay away from these.

Not terrible
It’s not terrible. The bun itself is soft and tasty. However, the beef filling is pretty dry and does not taste similar to any bao buns I ever had. It more so reminds me of ground taco meat with taco seasoning. You can also compare it to sambosa with more flavor. Good luck!

DRY! Omg, inside the bun is a dry hard meatball. Taste is a bit weird. I nearly choked over how dry. Followed the directions perfectly. Even tried wrapping them in a wet papertowel before going in the microwave. Also tried steaming.

The center is like a hard meatball. The flavor is decent but it’s the texture for me. Also, the bun isn’t on a little paper so when you pick it up the bottom stays stuck to the plate.
