Guests are saying
The new packaging for the 312 hearing aid batteries has received significant criticism for being extremely difficult to open, especially for seniors and those with limited hand strength. Many guests have expressed frustration over the need for scissors or specialized tools to access the batteries, which detracts from the convenience of using them. Despite the batteries themselves being reliable and long-lasting, the packaging redesign has led to a negative experience for many users, prompting them to consider alternative brands.

Worst Batteries I've ever had

These are used for hearing aids and most people wearing hearing aids are elderly. This child proof battery pack is insane and almost impossible for elderly with arthritis to open. They don't last near as long as batteries I've used in the past. A total waste of money

The website says 99% of seniors can access the batteries in one minute. This is true if you have a torch. Normal scissors break on the armor grade plastic. Fire the person who thought this was a good idea. The batteries are good, but they are poorly packaged.

Seriously, whoever created the child resistant packaging for these batteries needs to find another job. What used to take 10 seconds to access a battery for my hearing aids now takes about 10 minutes and only AFTER I retrieve the tool necessary to open the package. And it STILL isn’t easy!
PACKAGING NIGHTMARE FOR SENIORS

Late 80's, rheumatoid arthritis, hearing aids for 30 yrs. You have got to be kidding about this new packaging!! Since they have to be kept separate, I will have my grandson open a few packages at a time, and store in weekly pill containers. That is another thing. How are we supposed to change them on the go with the new package???

Since the packaging has switched to "cut to open", I have so many issues retrieving my batteries. I work in a fast pace environment and struggling to cut open the packaging is not ideal. I am young and struggle with cutting it open to easily access the battery. Your main customers are older people who are going to struggle with this more than I am. Packaging needs to be reworked!
The Batteries are fine. The packaging is terrible.

As a long term user, senior citizen, with no kids in the house I find the packaging to be unusable as designed. I will not carry scissors and the battery pack with me when I go out. I find my Swiss Army Knife excellent for slipping into the thickness of the cardboard package, allowing me to separate it and remove all batteri3s at once. I can do that safely in about two minutes. I keep the loos3 batteries inside a small flat plastic pack designed to hold plastic toothpick thingies. There should be an option to purchase the old style rotary storage packs, just like you can have medicine in child-resistant or non-child-resistant packaging. I r3commend this product to a friend because all companies are forced to do the same kind of packaging by misguided federal legislation.

The new "child-resistant" packaging is also "senior resistant." I was unable to get more than a few batteries torn out of the package, even using scissors. I returned them for a refund. Please be "senior considerate" and return to accessible packaging.

We just used nail clippers, cuticle scissors and regular scissors to try to open the Rayovac 312 hearing aid batteries. I can't believe no blood was shed! Please find a better way to package these batteries.

The batteries may be fine, but the child resistant packaging? Who designed this? I am a younger hearing aid user and have fine dexterity. This packaging is atrocious and I'm sure many older adults will not be able to open it on their own. I always bring a pack with me wherever I go- batteries can die when I am running errands or out to dinner with friends. The packaging demands that one have a scissors with them to cut the hard plastic- no easy task and I have hurt myself on multiple occasions. Who always has a scissors with them? I will purchase another brand.

HUGE EPIC FAIL ON CHILD RESISTANT PACKAGING! My husband ordered me my new hearing aids which are in the child resistant packaging! I am a 56 year old with good use of my hands. It took me and my sister 20 minutes to figure out how to get into the packaging at home. Then I was out doing errands and needed to replace a battery. Do you really think people carry scissors everywhere with them? I would not be able to change the battery at a movie theater, a park, restaurant basically anywhere except home. Instead I have to open the package up completely before leaving the house and put them in a separate bag so I can get at them when I need to. Huge epic fail!!!!

I have always used the RayOVac hearing aide batteries. But now this new packaging is so difficult to open even my scissors want cut threw. I perfer the old packaging it was so easy especially for us Seniors to use. If you making it hard why don't you include a pair of scissors that will cut threw the packaging, mine don't cut this is totally unfair you would put us in this amount of stress to use the batteries. It is parents job to keep away from kids not ours we need easy open containers please go back to the previous containers that moved . Why fix something that isn't broken.

Rayovac 312 12pack- 2 packs of 6-absolutely horrible to open, you literally need tin snips to open the package. Child resistant packaging- should read Senior Resistant. whoever approved it should really rethink their mistake

The child proof packaging is horrible! It requires scissors which I DO NOT carry around with me. I have to cut them open at home which leaves the batteries loose & MORE of a hazard for children. This was a STUPID & MORE dangerous idea.

who was the rocket scientist that developed the "childproof" packaging ? almost sliced my fingers off trying to open. you need aviation snips to cut through the plastic, and then beg the batteries to fall out.

This type isn’t available anymore and we should be given a choice of packing. Two very strong adult sons cannot open the new style that replaced this dispenser. I’m furious.
