This looks nice and is very soft, but is not heavy as described in reviews. Maybe it depends on your definition of "heavy". Due to the open areas of loose knitting (look closely) this throw did not keep me warm. If you only want it for looks rather than function, it's great. I wanted both, so I returned it.
