I should have been skeptical when I read that these were “warm white” LED. They definitely are not. They are a classic pure white LED, which is not the Christmas aesthetic I was going for. Picture shows old (dying) lights on top 2/3 of tree and our Elf trying to install the new lights on the bottom. Much bigger difference in color in person.

Defective (strobing).
The lights are defective and have a low level strobing effect, like a light that isn’t wired properly or isn’t receiving enough electricity to stay on properly. I tested the lights in several outlets and it is definitely the lights that are defective. This may be a safety concern for those with epilepsy.

Flashing Lightmare
These lights are either not rectified at all (30Hz strobing) or are only half wave rectified (60Hz strobing) instead of full wave rectified (120Hz strobing). Therefore, you can really notice the flickering (some very old people do not) & they are not safe for epileptics. When they're the only illumination in a room, everything that moves looks like it has a weird slow motion filter on it due to the flickering, even when facing away from the bulbs (which themselves visibly flicker).

Flicker causes headaches
We tried the multicolor LED lights because I wanted to use less electricity. These have a subtle strobe-like flicker that causes headaches. Test in the store before buying to make sure they don’t affect you!
