Q: I threw out the directions because they seemed pretty self explanatory, but when I hit the button 2x the lights just stay on. I got these for the timer feature so I'm pretty annoyed.

A: Click the button once. It will stay on for 6 hours. Click it AGAIN it will stay on with no timer, and click again it will turn off. Then it will start over: timer, constant on, off.

Press the button once more to turn the product off, and if you press it just once after that, this will turn on the timer mode. The lights should cycle 6 hours on, then turn off for 18 hours. Listen to the reviews. Not even worth the 40% sale price. Bought two boxes and both of them had the same issue - half the strand was so dim I thought they weren’t working at all. Not the quality I am used to from target.

Quality is Not Like Previos Years'
I purchased a few sets of these last year and they were excellent. Decided to get more this year and they definitely are not the same. I tried many sets of new batteries and only half of these light up or are very dim. Nothing like last year’s quality. Will likely be returning.

Why are the white lights so dim? I tried different types of batteries in them. One strand look like they are not even on when the lights are on. The colorful lights are a little more bright, but not by much. These are not great.

Unwind the cord if some don't light up at first
I was hesitant to buy these based on the poor reviews, but I couldn't find any other options for outdoor battery operated lights on a timer for our wreaths we put on our windows on the front of our house. Out of 10 packs, there were 3 that did not light up all the way when they were still tied right out of the box. However, when completely unwound, all the strands worked. I'm including a video to show it go from not working when wound to working when unwound.

I opened up the box of the Led string lights. I install 3 brand new batteries right of a new package. Push the button and only 6 lights came on out of the 30. The rest no lights/some were very dimmed. Sadly I will have to return them.

Not even worth the low price.
Half the lights don’t work. Got two strings. Brand new batteries. And half of the bulbs either don’t light at all or are so dim you can barely see them. Disappointing because they are the same bulbs as a plug in strip I got last year that I wanted to match.

Just what I needed!
Despite other reviews, I had no issues with bulbs being out. Each set was the perfect length for two small bushes on my front stoop. Love that they are outdoor rated and battery operated with a timer. I wish the light was a little warmer, but its definitely not bright white which I'm happy about. Not sure how they will hold up but so far they are definitely worth the price.
