A: I had the same question after buying this cutting board and noticed the toxic warning label. I beleive its either from the glue or apoxy used to bind the board together. I'm returning mine.

Very low quality
After one use, the finishing is stripping, cracks are appearing in the wood, and the knife marks are very visible with lots of splinters appearing. Additionally, any juices spill off the edges and on to the counter. Would not recommend.

Perfect if you enjoy wood splinters as a garnish!
Wish I could rate 0 stars. ONE use and proper washing and it’s splintering. You can run your hand over it and feel and SEE splinters of wood coming off of it. How this is supposed to be considered food safe is beyond me.

Smellg
I followed all the cleaning directions and only used this board for non-meat items. Never soaked in water or put in the dishwasher but after only 3 months it smells rancid. I’ve tried everything to get the smell out (baking soda, lemon and salt, etc) but it stinks and I have to throw it away. So disappointed.

Basically for decoration only
After one use, the finish is coming off and there seems to be water damage on the board (the middle portion is turning white), even though no water was left to sit on the board. I've had many wood cutting boards and never had this problem.

Beautiful cutting board. This board will be perfect for serving a charcuterie board. Very sturdy and has soft feet on the bottom for a nice non slick board. High quality wood is used. Extremely happy.

Acacia wood cutting board
This might be my favorite cutting board. I like that it’s non slip, it has a nice smooth surface which makes it easy to clean, it’s a perfect size and the color is a nice rich brown. Great quality and looks great in my kitchen

Beautiful Craftsmanship!
Beautiful craftsmanship! I received this product for free for my honest review. This is a completely honest review. The acacia wood is solid and looks too nice to put away. I will display this on my counter to use daily. I used a very sharp knife to cut my lemons for lemonade and it held up perfectly. I rinsed with water and dried it. It has non slip dots on each corner underside that prevents slipping. I absolutely love this cutting board. Thank you @Target #Heybullseye

Great boards, use mineral oil before first use.
People giving this bad reviews are 100% not using mineral oil (as INSTRUCTED by any reputable mineral oil supplier) and that's why their boards are warping and cracking. When you buy these boards, buy mineral oil too, use as directed. You need to oil daily for a while, then weekly, then monthly. Yes, wooden boards require MAINTENANCE! If that's not for you, get plastic. My board is over a year old in my photo, soaking up it's monthly dose of oil!
