I use these for so many things- kids toy sets, out of season clothes (stack on closet shelves nicely), extra sheets in closet, and random things I want to protect and store in attic. Using these for short term clothes storage and they stood up better and hold a lot more than I was expecting. When I opened it and straightened it out, it stood up great on it's own, like a box (but not as straight as a standing reusable grocery bag). Staying open makes it super easy to put things in. Even half full it still keeps it's shape and I can hold it by the handles without it sagging and the clothes shifting. If you understand you're getting a tougher storage bag that has more give and flexibility than a (standing) reusable grocery bag, you'll love it.
