A: Mcar98! The 7 Qt. Latch Box has outside dimensions that measure: 14 3/8" L x 8" W x 5 3/8" H, and the 15 Qt. Latch Box has outside dimensions that measure: 17 1/8" L x 11 1/4" W x 6 1/2" H. Turning the 7 Qt. Latch Box to the side, its Length (14 3/8") becomes its width when trying to stack two on top of the 15 Qt. Latch Box. The 15 Qt. Latch Boxes width measures 11 1/4" W. You could stack two 7 Qt. Latch Boxes on top of the 15 Qt. Latch Box, however, they were not designed that way so the stacking may not be as secure due to their measurements. A: Hi Jack! The 15 Qt. Storage Bin is made of Polypropylene plastic, and was designed for general household use. Sterilite only uses high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items.

These bins are pretty great. Not the best like the previous ones that had a grey lid. but they are solid. I do with the lids were more heavy duty and didn't break so easily. It is nice having a complete clear bin so I can tip it and shake it to find what you I need without dumping the whole thing.

Bad smell
These bins are easily stackable and sturdy but the chemical/gas smell coming off them is awful when they've been closed up for a few hours. Washing them out didn't help. I'm storing tools and papers in them, I would never put any kind of fabric in them.

Washing with a lemon scented or grease fighting detergent and rinsing thoroughly helps dispel any noticeable odor. Detergents sometimes adhere to plastics and you will want to wipe and rinse well. Air or towel dry.

These containers have a horrible chemical odor. These cannot be good. Target get it together and do better. This is unacceptable.
