These materials have been approved by the FDA as food safe. It is the same material used to produce all of our food storage items. To ensure we offer only quality and safe products, no PVCs, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bisphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals are used in our manufacturing process. Sterilite does not use any harmful materials in the production of our products.

The interior dimensions of this bin are about 12" x 9.75", so it will fit standard letter‑size paper (8.5" x 11"), but it will not fit larger 12" x 12" scrapbook sheets. A: Hi BIGGUY! The 5.8 Qt. Storage Bin is made out of polypropylene and can withstand temperatures of as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit. At the higher temperatures, the plastic can eventually become flexible and could warp or deform. At colder temperatures, the plastic may become brittle and may crack or rupture. With repeat or prolonged exposure to these extremes will negatively impact the performance and longevity of the items.

A: Hi Rambo! The 5.8 Qt. Storage Bin could absolutely be stacked with the other items in this line, such as the 15 Qt. and 27 Qt. Latch Boxes. The 5.8 Qt. Latch Box has smaller measurements (Outside Dimensions: 14 1/2" L x 11" W x 3 1/8" H.) and won't fit exactly on the two larger items. The two larger items will have a more secure stack due to their Length and Width being the same. The 15 Qt. Latch Box has outside dimensions that measure: 17 1/8" L x 11 1/4" W x 6 1/2" H, and the 27 Qt. latch Box has outside dimensions that measure: 17 1/8" L x 11 1/4" W x 12 5/8" H.
