A: I would not store dog food or any open food items in this container as it is not airtight and your pet’s food will not be protected from pests and it will get stale. I highly recommend a food safe container with a Gamma lid that is airtight and will protect the food from light, pests, and water. There are 5+ gallon buckets and food safes made specifically for this.
