Do not buy! These ship with industrial tape attaching the lids and completely ruin the containers. Literally impossible to remove all the tape residue (multiple attempts at goo gone and razor blades don’t even work). Unless you want to spend hours scraping/cleaning them, don’t buy these. It’s not worth it. If they are available at your local store, that is the only way I would purchase them as they don’t come with lids taped on.

For the second time at this location, lids for containers were not pulled. I did a curbside because I did NOT want to go in to pick up. Instead I had to go in to get lids. One of the people at CS desk asked if I would like to go get them. I told her no that I did a drive up because I did not want to come in. I also do not know where they are located. (I come to this location further from my home when the closest location is out of something on my order. Happening more frequently.) The other person at the CS desk was on point checking to make sure the lids brought up matched my bins. I realize CS does not pull orders. Clearly not their issue. However satisfying the customer is. One appeared annoyed that I didn’t want to go back and find the lids. The other wanted to make sure correct. The 3 is based on the second individual’s great demeanor and attitude.

The lids don't seal or fasten or even fit very well.
The lids do not close securely, no snap or seal or anything. They just kind of hang on loosely. It would be fine if you never drop things or pick them up the wrong way. More of a light covering than a functional storage lid.

Beware. Online Orders do not come with the lids. Ordered 4 bins with lids. No lids were in the 4 boxes. Also, why ship in 4 boxes? Just got off phone with customer service. They gave me the option to: 1. Exchange at store. We don't live near a Target, which is why we ordered online. 2. Keep the bins and they'll give me a partial refund. But what about the lids? 3. Ship the bins back. Once they receive in 7 business days, they'll ship the new ones out. This is clearly not right and I thanked the gentlemen, hung up and called back to speak with another rep. She offered to ship the replacement immediately but I would have to ship the bins back via their return label. Inconvenient but better than nothing. But not sure why they cannot just send the lids so they don't incur the cost of returning something that doesn't need to be returned. Clearly looking at the reviews here, in hindsight, it looks like the missing lids is a common issue. Please fix this inconvenience Target. You're wasting a lot of people's time with a known issue. The label on the bin says in big letters: PAIRS WITH LID C. So, buyer beware when ordering these online. Crossing fingers the replacements includes the lids.

They’ll forget the lids. Even the replacement won’t come with lids.
Bought this, along with the 4 L and 7 L which came in a separate box on a separate day, and received 0 out of 6 lids. Went the replacement route for this and they also arrived without lids! Now I’m no longer eligible for replacement, and all I want is the lids. While I was able to talk to a very nice representative on the phone, she was not able to just send the missing lids. Issued a replacement for the 4L and 7L, and fingers crossed lids will miraculously arrive with those. These are not stackable without the lids. What would be a great product is useless plastic without the lid. Since these were filled at different places (one came from Nevada, another from California, and I’m unable to see where the replacement was packed), it makes me think Target needs to put a big warning for its associates that lids are to be included. Though I’m glad I at least get refunded, I really would have preferred my lids. Just send the lids, please! Because otherwise I have little faith Target is capable of selling fully intact items.

Yes, letter-sized paper does fit in the bottom of these bins with about half an inch each side to spare. I am so very glad I ordered these, and I just now ordered more. I am always sorting piles of paper for the many volunteer organizations I'm in and for general household paperwork. I've never hit upon the best system, but I think I've found the answer with these. I set them out side by side with post-it notes on the sides and lid for what category will go in there, and after tossing all the papers in the right box, I put on the lids and stack the boxes on the table until I can get to the work inside to be done. I highly, highly recommend these. The lids go on easily and pull off easily. Don't stack them inside each other, though, without the lids, because they will stick together. They did pull apart, but I was afraid they would crack, but they did not.

Warped and scratched lids
If you get this via pickup, then you may get a product that is not in good shape like I received. The ones brought with my order had an extra piece of plastic on the bottom with scratched and warped lids.

Lid Doesn't Fit
I purchased several of these and the lids don’t fit on any of them. I bought them around February 2025; they were never left in a hot car or run through the dishwasher, so this seems like a manufacturing issue. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how poor the quality was until it was too late to return them. Waste of money, IMO.
