Amazing Product.....the latches are so tight and secure. You could put anything in it and it would hold. I ended up putting scads and piles of paperwork and nothing is going anywhere! Great job Sterlite!!!!!!!

I received this product as part of a My-Take research study. You can't get any better all around storage than this size of a Sterilite latch box. The latch has been improved and I was able to fill it full of fabric and mash it down and latch the box.

My basement was an explosion of Lego bricks. I found these 18 quart latch totes to be a lifesaver. Too big and I can’t lift them; too small and they don’t hold enough. These 18 quart bins hit the sweet spot. I can stack them and still see that is inside since the bin itself is clear. The match ensures the bricks don’t spill out when I go to pick it up AND keeps everything dust-free. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study

My husband and I are in the process of organizing our basement which requires heavy duty storage boxes with secure lids. I love this one because the sides are transparent and the latch for the lid is extremely secure! I don’t make a point of dropping storage boxes but if I happen to drop this one, I’m confident the contents will stay secure! It’s well constructed and the latch is easy to open and close. The 18 quart ultra latch box is perfect for storing many small items. I used this box to store my child's kitchen tools and it easily held all of her things. The latches securely closed the lid without worry of spilling the enclosed items. The box is well made and durable. The clear base allows for seeing what is stored inside the box. Very versatile storage bin. It's large enough to organize and store the kids' toys. Clear sides allows for easy sorting without opening the lid. The latching top is sturdy and secure. Good size for use in bedrooms, pantry, or closets. Not ideal for outdoor use as the lid does not have an airtight seal.

I have hundreds of these boxes but the company moving away from clear lids is a deal breaker. well be going to a different brand.

I have no complaints with this dependable brand of storage bins. The handles latch without issue and feel secure. They do not seem too loose and weak, so I feel assured that when I pull the bin out of my cabinets, the bin won't tumble with the contents spilling out. My only issue is that the storage bin has a weird greasy kind of feel when it arrives, so make sure to wipe it down before use.
Bring back the clear lids!

These 18 quart Ultra containers used to be a 5 star product. But Sterilite got rid of the clear lids and now the lids are opaque white. The rest of the container is still good, but the lids are much worse. I can no longer tell what's in the container from above. Bring back the clear lids and stop messing with good products!

I loved this box with the clear lid. Then they quit making them. Only white lids. So now I use another brand that is inferior but has a clear lid.

As a Digital Arts teacher, I have to keep track of a large inventory of cameras and accessories. These bins are perfect for holding a camera, camera bag, and all the additional attachments! The best part is that they stack easily for storage. Highly recommend!

I probably own 12 to 15 of these. If I need to store something in a bin this is my go to size. The container material is tough plus being able to see thru and know what's inside without opening it is great. Due to it's size I can stack three of these on most shelves. My favorite part is the latches. THEY NEVER FAIL ! I have accidentally dropped these a few times and the lid has always stayed secure.

Quality material and construction. Mine come with red latches instead of grey as on the website picture. The lower height is probably so you can stack more of these at once. The smaller sides have less of a curve so you can fit more stuff inside. Carrying around may be tricky through narrow doors or stairs. 2 should fit on the back of a regular 4door car but I think it a bit too wide for the front passenger seat. If you're looking to move around more frequently, I'd highly recommend looking at the 18 Gallon Latch and Carry Tote. It's the perfect size for moving around and the lid and construction material are also a bit better in my opinion. This is still a good product for its intended purpose, just make sure you understand your own needs.

I have used several different products similar to this one but with very little success until I found this one. It works very well, is the right size and has answered my storage problems. I use it in an enclosed lockable cabinet (metal) to store fishing gear. I use it for spare reels, line, various baits and terminal tackle. I have not one complaint on this unit. For the amount invested, I do not think a better product exists at least for the purpose I have put it to use.
